We asked the temp agency for a sound tech who could handle a graveyard shift, and they took it a little too literally. Who's coming by for a drink with Elton Gone?

10/11/2026

See, this is the problem with temp agency labor during this season.

Some people wait all year for Halloween. Others just dress like this on a regular Saturday.

Either way, SCARYOKE is coming to Jack Ruby's on Saturday, October 31.

We've got deadly karaoke, a costume contest with prizes, food and drink specials, and absolutely no guarantee that anyone can sing.

Come dressed to kill. Sing like nobody's listening. (We regret to inform you that everyone is.)

Our friend Aristide Garofalo was scheduled to perform at Jack Ruby's Saloon tonight, but has been delayed again in his travels from Italy to the USA, and therefore must cancel. Sorry for the late notice!

So tonight, you can actually hear your friends as you eat and drink. No lip-reading required.

Your boss thinks you’re working late. We think you should be holding a cold b**r. 🍺

Clock out early and meet us for the Thursday Night Football Pregame Happy Hour. We’ve got Rachel Stacy & Adam Schwem taking the stage at 4:00 PM to warm up your ears before kickoff. Once 7:00 PM hits, we’re switching straight to the big game.

Great tunes, cheap drinks, zero cover charge, and an ironclad excuse for avoiding your inbox. See you at the bar.

You survived the workweek. Your reward? Fresh cold b**r and killer live music. 🎸

This Friday at 7:00 PM, Aristide Garofalo is bringing his blues and rock riffs to Jack Ruby’s. If your current Friday night plan involves staring at a TV screen while regretting your life choices, cancel it and come grab a table instead.

Full kitchen menu, cold drafts on tap, and as always: never a cover charge.

Saturday night rule # 1: If the music isn’t loud and the b**r isn’t cold, you’re at the wrong bar. ⚡

We’ve got PL Garner & The Reburns taking over Jack Ruby’s at 7:00 PM for a full night of high-octane live music. Bring your friends, order up a round from the bar, and let us handle the weekend entertainment.

No cover, no fancy dress codes, just real music and good times.
