Watching Ash pour his lil heart into his lemonade stand, draw art & messages on each cup, tell everyone heā€™s saving up to go to Australia (or Bermuda potentially), & shamelessly go around to every last person to promote his lemonade with so much pride & joy had me giggling endlessly. He worked so hard the WHOLE day (I thought weā€™d lose him a few hours in). His extroverted charismatic personality was THRIVING.

His classmates & teacher visited, our friends, my family, regulars, & strangers... & it meant the world to him. He felt so loved. THESE are the core parenting/childhood memories right here.

Most people know that Ash named Dodie because he babbled that word constantly when he was 1 year old. None of us knew at the time that Dodie meant ā€œwell lovedā€ in Hebrew, but he was quietly & daily speaking it over us & casting the vision to go out & make others feel well loved.

We hope you feel well loved hereā€¦ youā€™ve certainly made us feel loved beyond measure the last 4 years!

Small town life is impossible to describe to people who havenā€™t experienced it, but Iā€™m certain we hit the jackpot when we found this hole in the wall in Davidsville & took the leap. When we first got the keys and started dreaming, I could have never imagined what the next four years would hold. Now, standing on the other side of it, I can say it has been abundantly more than I could have imagined. This neighborhood coffee shop in a nowhere town has changed me & my family from the inside out. This Dodie community makes me feel rich, it gives so much to our family, sincerity & love abound!
