370 kg of trash never made it to the ocean, and all it took was a net.

Australia fitted mesh over its drains, so whatever the water carries out gets trapped before it can escape. Plastic bottles and junk end up sitting in a bag instead of drifting out to sea.

No robots. No billion-dollar cleanup fleet.

We keep waiting for some huge tech breakthrough to fix ocean pollution. Meanwhile the answer was hanging off the end of a pipe the whole time.

Simple idea. Massive payoff.

While most kids spend Halloween night trying to collect as much candy as possible, one boy did the exact opposite.

He walked up to a house where the owners had left a bowl of candy outside for trick-or-treaters.

But when he looked inside, it was almost empty.

Earlier kids had already cleared it out.

Most children would have grabbed whatever was left and moved on to the next house.

Instead, he stopped.

He opened up his own trick-or-treat bag, reached in, and started moving handfuls of his own candy into the bowl.

He wasn't taking. He was giving back.

He wanted to make sure the kids who came after him wouldn't walk up to an empty bowl.

The whole moment was caught on the home's doorbell camera, and when the homeowners saw it, they shared it online to thank him.

The video quickly spread, and it's not the only one. Over the years, doorbell cameras have caught several kids doing the same thing, quietly refilling empty bowls on Halloween night when they thought no one was watching.

In a holiday all about getting as much as you can, these kids reminded everyone what really matters.

Somewhere out there, some parents are raising a very good kid 💛

A woman and her Irish Wolfhound won fans around the world with their clever Halloween costumes inspired by the 1990s comedy classic Wayne’s World.

A photo shared on Reddit shows former Miss Delaware Kate Banaszak dressed as Wayne Campbell, complete with a plaid shirt, black cap and inflatable guitar. But it’s her Irish Wolfhound, Kellan, who steals the show as Garth Algar, sporting thick black-framed glasses, messy blond hair and a goofy, happy grin.

Banaszak is a fan of the film, and Kellan is apparently a good sport when it comes to her Halloween costume ideas. She told The Huffington Post that he doesn’t just look the part; he embodies Garth’s spirit.

“He digs classic rock, he’s a lovable guy, an awesome best friend, and he even has his own dream woman,” she said. “Though, instead of a hot blonde, it’s a bullmastiff named Nike that he met in agility class. Still, I’m pretty sure Hendrix’s ‘Foxy Lady’ plays in his head when he sees her,” she said, referencing scenes from Wayne’s World.

Kellan may be playing Garth, but with that goofy grin and a real-life “Foxy Lady” of his own, he’s definitely a star in his own right!
