In 2005, when we first opened Kyoto Japanese Steak House here in Decatur, almost nobody ate sushi.
For the first year, sushi barely sold. Together with Mr. Waka, we made sushi samples by hand and introduced them to our guests one person at a time. We didn't just serve sushi. We helped create a sushi culture in our community.
Twenty-one years later, this small city is home to nearly eight sushi bars, and sushi has become a favorite for many people.
Now, Sushi Sumo is proud to introduce another authentic Japanese tradition to Decatur.
