A small cafe with an eclectic menu located in Deep River, Ct. Specializing in creative eggs Benedict, omelets, homemade hash(s), sweets and unique lunch options. (our burgers are ground ribeye steak for example) Lots of vegetarian and vegan choices means everyone will experience a great meal. Another perk is a fun bonus on your birthday. Show your ID and get your age as a percentage off your meal.

Getting older is quite special at the Whistle Stop. Mostly outdoor dining overlooking Keyboard pond. With 20 seats inside for the slower colder season. This restaurant has been part of this family since the 1930's. Grandfather Ed Goff had the #6 liquor license in Ct at the time. Live music on the weekends meant the sailors from Groton came to dance the night away while on leave from WW2. Family run Whistle Stop has passed from both sides of my family. My mom grew up working the floor and my dad's side of the family also owned the business for a decade. We love cooking as a family and hope to cook for your family too. :-)
