Happy Anniversary Mici! ❤️

Today marks another year since we opened our first restaurant on July 19, 2004. What makes this day extra special is something we didn’t even realize at the time.

After months of permit delays and hurdles, we finally got the green light and opened our doors on July 19th. A few weeks later, my dad looked at the date and said with a big smile, “Wouldn’t you know it… We ended up opening on Grandpa Pop’s birthday!”

Grandpa Pop DiGirolomo raised our dad after his own father passed away when he was very young. While his mom went to work, Grandpa Pop stepped in, teaching Dad how to cook, tending a big garden in the backyard. Those authentic family recipes and old-world values Grandpa Pop passed down are still at the heart of everything we do at Mici today.

We’re so grateful to carry on that legacy for another year. Thank you to every customer who has become part of our extended family. We couldn't have done it without you. ❤️🇮🇹
