For the past 25 years, Dazzle has melded community and culture with intimate music and arts experiences. A chef-driven menu, specialty cocktails, and a finely crafted wine menu round out the evening. We celebrate and commemorate everyday life in an inclusive space where Denver audiences are able to hear some of the best jazz and improvised music from around the world. In June of 2017, Dazzle left

its tenured home on 9th and Lincoln and moved to its new home, downtown between the Denver Performing Arts Complex and the 16th Street Mall, the historic Baur’s Building. In early 2023, Dazzle installs jazz at the Denver Performing Arts Complex by moving into 1080 14th Street.

Musical Style: Modern Jazz Fusion

Something Out Of is an original modern jazz fusion group combining deep groove and etherial textures into an accessible, genre-bending sound. The band draws from jazz, funk, and cinematic soul. The music is reminiscent of Herbie Hancock, Weather Report, and Snarky Puppy. Their debut album, "What If..." features searing solos and polyrhythmic turns, creating a soulful, high energy journey.

For more than 25 years, the Ken Walker Sextet set the standard for modern jazz in Denver, many of those years on the Dazzle stages. We’re honored to have them play the first big show of our 3rd Anniversary at the Arts Complex Weekend Celebration.

Now reimagined as the Ken Walker Sextet Legacy Band, this powerhouse ensemble brings together original core members Peter Sommer (sax), Dave Corbus (guitar), Jeff Jenkins (piano), and Paul Romaine (drums) every month for an electrifying night of world-class jazz that blends deep groove, fearless improvisation, and timeless swing.

Every performance features a rotating lineup of acclaimed guest artists — from nationally recognized jazz heavyweights to the most exciting rising talent in the region — making each show a one-night-only experience you won’t hear anywhere else.

JUST ANNOUNCED: Alysha Brilla Live at Dazzle October 11th at 6:30PM

Alysha Brilla is a 3X Juno Award nominated multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and performer weaving together global roots sounds into her unique tapestry of music; transporting audiences to a place nestled between the earth and the stars.

The child of an Indo-Tanzanian musician, Brilla’s songs are a rich and colorful mosaic. Themes of re-connection with ourselves, each other and the earth are woven into uplifting rhythms and soulful melodies. In 2013, Brilla became one of the first self-produced female artists in history to receive a Juno Award nomination (Canada's Grammy Awards) for her debut album “In My Head”. Since then, Brilla has released four critically acclaimed albums; garnering several more Juno Award nominations, Music Producer Of The Year at the IMA’s and a Dundas Square giant Billboard feature with Spotify.

Her latest single “Love” was mastered by 3X Grammy Award Winning Engineer Emily Lazar at The Lodge in New York.

Born from the street and urban roots of Denver’s Northside, Bailenque Latin Jazz is the city’s newest force in authentic latin rhythmns and music— led by powerhouse vocalist Cristine Barbosa and master percussionist Jose Espino. Both are 20-plus-year veterans of Denver’s legendary salsa institution Conjunto Colores, bringing decades of experience, passion, and authenticity to every performance.

The Austin Fuchs and Zach Kaufman Quintet is back! Consisting of five of the finest young musicians across the state of Colorado, the co-leaders have assembled an All-Star line up. The co-leaders, both alumni of the Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts (CCJA) Messengers, are now pursuing degrees in jazz studies at two of the nation’s most acclaimed institutions. Performing a set of original music and classics alike, the quintet is sure to wow in the second outing as an ensemble.
