John Anderson deserved a spot in the Opry family, and we are standing with this fan.
After moving to Nashville from Apopka, Florida, he worked in construction by day and played h***y tonks at night.
He went on to play the Opry for decades, became a Country Music Hall of Famer in 2024, and Lee Greenwood called him one of the best ever to grace that stage. Yet he was never made a member.
Meanwhile, Jelly Roll was welcomed as a member in March 2026.
Nothing against Jelly, but John earned that circle a long time ago.
Some honors come too late.
