Coffee High School, Douglas, GA is one of the schools open for daily summer meals.🌞

These students are taking advantage of Taco Tuesday at the Trojan Café. The café is open for sit-down meal service for children 18 & under who are not participating in our weekly meal kit option. Breakfast is served from 8:00-8:30 and lunch is served from 12:15-12:45, Monday-Thursday, through June 25. This is not a pick-up service. Meals must be eaten on-site. No service on Thursday, June 18.

🍽 If you missed out on getting a meal box this week, you can take your child for daily meals!

🕖 Breakfast is served from 8:00-8:30 Mon - Thurs, and lunch is served from 12:15-12:45 Mon - Thurs.

⚠ This Thursday, June 11, is the LAST day of service at our elementary schools and at Coffee Middle School.

😃 High school locations (Freshman Campus, Coffee High, and Wiregrass Career Academy) will serve through June 25.

🛑 If you get the meal box for your child, you are not eligible for the daily service.

🌟We celebrated our staff today with breakfast and awards.

We recognized several schools who had consistently high breakfast and/or lunch participation, as well as those who had an increase in their participation numbers.

We acknowledged our GSNA 8th district winners for manager and employee of the year (Amanda Roberson and Janet Harrell), and the 8th District Malcolm Quillen Nutrition Hero Award (Patricia Vickers). We also recognized Rhonda Harper with perfect attendance for the year.

We’ve had a great year, and hopefully our employees will have some time to rest and recharge over the summer.

George Washington Carver Freshman Campus asked for input from students to come up with a signature iced coffee flavor next year, choosing between white chocolate or toasted marshmallow. The results were white chocolate!

Students are able to get a free iced coffee with breakfast - made with El Camino Coffee, which is roasted here in Douglas! Several syrup flavors are available, but white chocolate and toasted marshmallow are new additions.

We spiced up our serving lines today with Pizza Rancheros - it's like having two favorites (tacos & pizza) combined! Served with Salsa, Fiesta Corn, Crunch Combination Salad, Fresh Fruit Salad, and choice of milk. A zesty, celebratory lunch!
