Congratulations to Coffee FFA member, Josie Grantham on competing in the University of Georgia Junior Herd Builder Program! 👏🐄

The Junior Herd Builder Program, coordinated through the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Beef Team, gives students hands-on experience in beef cattle management, herd health, nutrition, record keeping, business planning, and leadership development. Participants are responsible for developing and managing a pen of heifers while learning real-world beef production practices.

This program takes dedication, responsibility, and countless hours of hard work, and we are proud of Josie for representing Coffee FFA and our agricultural community so well. Experiences like this help prepare the next generation of leaders in Georgia agriculture!

What a great night with our Ladies Young Farmer Woodworking Class! 🪚🌿

Participants rolled up their sleeves, learned new woodworking skills, and built their very own two-tier ladder planters from start to finish. It was awesome seeing everyone gain confidence using tools, measuring, assembling, and creating something they can proudly take home and use for years to come.

A big thank you to everyone who came out and made the class such a success. We love providing hands-on opportunities that help grow skills, friendships, and creativity within our community!

Our FFA and 4H members showed up and showed out at our Annual Ag Literacy Day for PreK yesterday. The PreK students toured various stations to learn about agriculture and the importance of literacy. These stations consisted of: Petting Zoo, Goats & Sheep, Swine, Equipment, Horses, Beef & Dairy Cattle, Peanuts & Cotton, and Snacks.
