Sugar & Rhyme is HIRING!(Quickly!)

We are in search of a Front of House Barista to work approximately 16 hours/week. Schedule is subject to change in the future, but at this time here are the hours we are looking to fill:

WED: 10:00AM - 1:15PM
FRI: 9:00AM - 2:30PM
SAT: 9:00 - 11:00AM
SUN: 9:00AM - 2:30PM

Dear Elgin and Friends,
Thank you for an excellent 4th of July. We regret to inform that we must close our shop at 1PM, due to an abrupt family emergency. As we are out of pastries and low on staff today, we have decided to close an hour early. Our sincerest apologies for any and all inconvenience. We will see you all tomorrow at 8AM.

We are once again hosting a crochet class at Sugar & Rhyme! Wednesday, July 15th join Vicky and Jaqueline in a laid back, skill-building crochet class where you can learn some things about the craft in a safe space where all are welcome.
$10 for admission, just to cover the basic supplies you'll be able to take with you.

Our very own Pat is seeking performers for her upcoming production! See below...

- AUDITION NOTICE -
Bullets, Nickels, Dimes and Life by Jeremy Kehoe.

Sassy Pat Productions (Pat Henderson) is seeking performers for this new work that raises awareness that members of the homeless community are humans seeking hope and a better life. Five homeless people find themselves “doing time” – serving their bullet, nickel, dime, and life sentences not behind bars but out in the bright sunlight – while attempting to survive their new reality and maintain their individual and collective humanity in the midst of their open-air prison.
The production will run at the Habitat for Humanity on South Grove in Elgin on Saturday and Sunday, October 10th and 11th. October 10th is world homeless day.
Any additional proceeds will be donated to PADS of Elgin. The final dress rehearsal on Friday Oct 9th will benefit PADS as well.

Elgin's Pride Parade and Festival is just 9 days away!! Our window mural is officially up!

To further celebrate Pride Month, we are releasing a very special Shakerato.
Our "Bee Yourself" Iced Shakerato is made up of a salted orange whipped honey that we add our vanilla bean and cold foam to. It's out of this world.
Garnished with a candy rainbow 🌈 🥰
