Black Dog Pizzeria

10/25/2026

We had such a great time at the Subaru Loves Pets Adoption Event at Byers Subaru Dublin yesterday!

We brought the pizza, CHA Animal Shelter brought the adorable adoptable puppies, and we got to spend the afternoon doing two of our favorite things: feeding people great pizza and petting ALL the doggos.

A huge thank-you to Byers Subaru Dublin for inviting us to be part of such a wonderful event, to CHA Animal Shelter for everything they do for animals in need, and to everyone who stopped by to grab a slice, meet the pups, put in their adoption inquiries, and show their support! You guys rock.

We believe every person AND every dog deserves a loving home, a full belly, and maybe a lil Pupperoni Cup every now and then!

What’s better than pizza?
FREE pizza AND petting dogs!

We’re teaming up with our friends at Byers Subaru Dublin and CHA Animal Shelter for the Subaru Loves Pets Adoption Event tomorrow and we’re bringing the pizza.

Come meet and pet some adoptable doggos, grab a slice on the house, and possibly-maybe even meet your newest furry best friend!

Bigs thanks to Matthew for not only the kind words and awesome photos, but for also giving us content to share on this laziest of Wednesday hump days 😅

October is National Pizza Month and we can’t think of any better way to celebrate than with some awesome pizza-inspired artwork from some of the talented students at Dublin’s own Riverside Elementary School.

Ms. Giacobbe and her second graders have been learning about geometric shapes by turning them into pizza toppings, and the results are pretty tasty, er, I mean, spectacular! And calorie free. This is the sort of creative, hands-on learning we love at Black Dog!

When she reached out to ask if we’d be interested in displaying their masterpieces, like HELLO, what shop better emphasizes Pizza + Art, you know??

Next time you stop in, take a minute to check out their gallery showing. Every slice was made by a little artist, and we think they deserve a big round of applause. And if your little artist is here and you find their slice, get a picture and let us know, we’ll share it!

And you know, maybe grab a slice or six while you’re in, if ya want, that is art we can make.

No big deal, just did a 20 pizza / 80 wings order at 11PM to feed six tour busses for the Jonas Brothers crew at Nationwide arena last night. Pardon us if we sleep in today!

Bonus: Nick being precious and buckling up the goodies.

Okay it’s Friday and maybe you’re like us and still trying to get on top of things from a crazy busy week and playing the catch-up game…. Phew!

Let us make dinner for ya! Put down the grocery list, step away from the stove, skip the dishes, forget the corporate pizza joints and let the dogs handle this one!

We’ve got the pies, the wings, the subs, and absolutely no judgment from us if you order enough for leftovers tomorrow—uhm, we actually encourage it.

Happy Friday from your Pizza Friends at Black Dog!

Spotted this little shout out over in the Ohio Pizza Fanatics group—this sure made our tails wag this morning! Thank you, Pizza Friend!

“Black Dog Pizzeria, amazing pie, well balanced crust cheese and sauce”!

Here’s a little photo dump from our adventures at the Columbus Pizza Expo!

And what a weekend it was, woof! We packed a whole lot of pizza-related shenanigans (plus some Italian Fedtival shenanigans—we’ll get to that later!) into a couple of days, and we’re still recovering.

Besides the excitement of the competitions, we got to meet some really awesome people and mentors, learn a few new things, be inspired by other things, and spend some quality time with our Black Dog crew outside of the shop.

🎙️ We recorded a few podcasts that will be coming out soon, including one with Pizza Today up in the Arnold Schwarzenegger balcony room (because apparently that’s a thing, and of course we had to check it out and it’s freaking awesome)!

🍅 Nick got to talk all things USA-grown produce and canned tomatoes with Tomato Wellness on camera.

🍕 We enjoyed a fantastic after-party at Little Italy Ristorante, rubbed elbows with some seriously talented pizza people, and probably talked about pizza more than any reasonable person should, thank you six cans of Red Bull for that one!

All in all we Pizza Party’d from 6am to 9pm. It was a long but amazing day!

There’s something pretty special about being surrounded by people who are just as ridiculously passionate about pizza as we are, it just feels really good. And so thank you to everyone who made the Columbus Pizza Expo such a great experience. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

And now? Back to making pizzas for everyone! See ya for dinner tonight, Pizza Friends!

🖤🐾🍕,
