Did you catch us for the first time at the Franklin County Fair and now you’re wondering ‘hey, what the heck did I eat??’

Here are the specialty pizzas we served up for sampling—which one was your favorite?

🍕Doggone Hot Chicken: Ranch dressing base, mozzarella and cheddar, Nashville hot chicken, red onions, pickles, topped with our spicy Tyrannodog ranch.

🍕Cujo: Spicy red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, bacon, mushrooms, topped with crushed red pepper and hot honey.

🍕Atta Boy: Red sauce, mozzarella, meatballs, banana peppers, topped with whipped ricotta and basil.

🍕Corsican: Garlic and shallot white sauce, mozzarella and goat cheese, portobello mushrooms, roasted red peppers, baby spinach, topped with a sweet balsamic glaze.

Your Franklin County Fair-Hilliard, Ohio Taste Of Fair 1st Place Winner ‘Favorite Slice’ for the second year in a row…. Black Dog Pizzeria! We did it again Pizza Friends, yay! What a perfect night!

Great big multiple thank you’s to: Team Black Dog at the shop for slinging out 30+ pizza during shift and delivering them to the event, our pizza friend Tiffany for helping us to run the booth while our event staff was on summer vacay, everyone who stopped by to visit us, catch up and vote for us, our hard working little Jackson for the constant booth silliness and smiles.

Can’t wait to get this newest 🏆on the wall…. And to see everyone for dinner this weekend!

It’s perfect weather for brews and slices at the Franklin County Fair-Hilliard, Ohio today! Stop out and join us tonight in the Entertainment Tent to try local favorites and listen to live music. It’s almost that time again—Fun in the sun with all the pizza and beer you could possible eat and drink! Get your tickets!

Join us next Wednesday, July 22nd 7pm-9pm, for our third annual showing at the Franklin County Fair-Hilliard, Ohio Taste Of Fair event featuring live music, beers from local breweries, pizza slices from local pizzerias, our ridiculously dog themed booth, and come say hi to Team Black Dog and friends—all for only $10. Have an evening blast and vote for your favorites!

🍅🌿July Pizza Of The Month: THE CLASSIC BARKHERITA 🧀🥫

July’s Pizza of the Month is (finally) here and we’re bringing you what is probably the most requested pizza customers ask for: A classic Margherita pizza! This seasonal pizza is bringing you the freshest of local produce on simple yet perfectly executed basics.

THE CLASSIC BARKHERITA pizza features locally grown Ohio heirloom tomatoes—sourced by Nick himself at Sanfillipo produce—coupled with fresh mozzarella on top of our always house-made crust and classic red sauce, topped with a fancy-shmancy cold pressed Moroccan extra virgin olive oil and whole leave basil.

Check out why the Margherita is a well-loved and often-asked for classic, and try our fresh, delicious take on it and, as always, let us know what you think!

July’s Pizza Of The Month will start next week—can you guess what it is from this picture? Hint: We’re using only the very finest of Ohio-grown giant heirloom tomatoes as it’s centerpiece🍅

We are SOLD OUT of the Steak ‘N’ Puppers options unfortunately and while it will not remain a permanent fixture to the menu as some have asked about (sorry!), it will be a revolving special so you will see it again. That one was a hit and thank you everyone for being adventurous eaters and trying something new!

We will be closed Friday and Saturday for the holidays and mini-vacation so catch us before or after then. You can also catch us Wednesday, July 22nd at the Franklin County Fair’s Taste Of Fair event—all the pizza and beer you can eat possibly eat for under $12 bucks. Happy Tuesday, Pizza Friends!

Just a quick note to let everyone know that we will be CLOSED on both Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th. This is our vacation weekend for us to spend with our kiddos and family, plus we have a lot of team members who just wanna get out from behind the heat wave ovens and have fun for the Fourth Of July.

Grab your Black Dog pizzas throughout the weeknights or come catch back up with us on Sunday. Thank you everyone for your understanding, we hope you’re gonna have a great weekend too!

Because I forgot to post it the last two weeks, here’s a triple-header for our Favorite Customer Of The Week!

Meet Jude Chi-Weenie and Miss Ella* the King Cavalier! To awesome little new pizza friends who sat patiently at the table and ate their Pupperoni Cups and Pumpkin Treats (available at the counter) while waiting for their human companion’s main course!

Also hello to little Bowser, a very well behaved little guy who enjoyed patio pizza with his family and enjoyed passing by head scratches (mostly from me).

Thank you for sharing your little friends with us, and letting us enjoy their furry company! It always makes our day.

All visiting dogs always get FREE a Pupperoni Cup or an all natural Pumpkin Biscuit**—whichever they prefer—and a stainless steel sterilized cold water bowl, available upon request. Our unmatched customer services extends to our fuzzy friends as well as our human pizza friends, always!
