🔥 Why is extreme heat more dangerous than cold for poultry?

Many people assume winter is the biggest threat, but for chickens, ducks, and geese, summer heat can be far more dangerous. Birds can’t sweat, so they rely on panting, shade, and plenty of fresh water to stay cool. Without those, heat stress can quickly become life-threatening.

We’ve been learning how to better work with our property instead of against it, and one of our next big projects is digging a duck pond in our new pasture! 🦆💙 We can’t wait to share the progress with you, so stay tuned!

✨ Fresh out of the oven! ✨

Our homemade cinnamon rolls are at the farmstand… and they’re still warm! 🥰 There’s nothing quite like a soft, gooey cinnamon roll fresh from the oven!

We also restocked the stand with:
🥚 Farm Fresh Eggs
🍓 Homemade Jams & Jellies (including Triple Berry and Southern Sunset!)
🥒 Pickles
🥚 Pickled Eggs
🌿 Pickled Okra
🌱 Pickled Asparagus
🍯 Local Honey
