Our Story
We are offering breakfast and lunch five days a week Friday through Tuesday 8:30-2:30, closed on Wednesday and Thursday.
Located in downtown historic Dunsmuir, California, the Cornerstone Cafe’ has been known to provide excellent breakfasts and lunches to the local community and to travelers looking for a nice place to enjoy a good-quality breakfast with friendly and attentive service. Under new management we re-opened June 26th, 2020. The new Executive Chef and General Manager, partnered with the current owner, have made quite a few changes to the Cafe’ and streamlined the menu.
During this bizarre pandemic our vision is to march forward providing expanded outdoor seating this 2020 summer with new sun umbrellas, plants and trees as well as a pleasant and classy indoor ambience while you wait for your order. We also practice mask-wearing and social distancing indoors. We zap the Cafe’ and kitchen with UV light on a daily and nightly basis. We do what we can to ensure your safety.
Our friendly and attentive staff will take care of you. Our menus cater to vegetarians with vegan options as well. However, our popular burger, kofte plates and gyros attempt to satisfy the palates of meat lovers. We offer delicious scones, sticky cinnamon buns, pies and cakes. We serve Has Bean coffee products. We also offer fruit smoothies, fresh orange juice and old-fashioned lemonade. Our wines are regional that pair well with the menu. Our ciders and beers are crafted locally.
