To all the Veterans who left their Barrios to escape death and incarceration , who then came back with scars seen and unseen , we see you .
To our Veterans who have passed,
Especially to our Black and Brown veterans who were fighting for survival in this country and still fought for America oversees , and were never honored in ways they deserved .
We honor you .
To our Veterans present and future , we salute you .
