Definition:
A rolled Italian American baked specialty made from pizza dough, filled with cheese, meats, vegetables, and other ingredients, then baked until golden brown and sliced for serving. Known for its crispy exterior, soft interior, and endless customization options. 🤌

Origin:
Contrary to popular belief, the stromboli did not originate in Italy. It was created in the United States by Italian American communities and is widely associated with the Philadelphia region and surrounding areas. The name is believed to have been inspired by the 1950 film Stromboli, starring Ingrid Bergman. 🇮🇹🇺🇸
