I have been waiting to make a post about Melodee’s until I knew for sure what was taking place. As most of you know the sidewalk construction literally killed us and caused our business to drop 80-85% which ended up being worse than when Covid hit. We continued to stay open in hopes things would turn around and that maybe the City would do the right thing and help out the businesses that are deeply struggling from the sidewalk project. Sadly they do not care about the damage it has caused and continued to avoid the situation. We attempted to open back up after Christmas but unfortunately our pipes busted during the extremely cold spell we had a few weeks ago and all had to be repaired. We later got a call from the property manager that the property the restaurant is sitting on was going to be sold so we definitely will not be opening back up. I have prayed about the situation and I feel that God is looking out for us on this. I trust he has a better plan for me during this new year. I want to thank each and everyone of you for your business and continued support throughout the past few years. I can’t thank you all enough for all of the prayers and and kind words and for every post you all have shared to help our business. Customers become like family and that is the part I love the most about the business. Each one of you hold a special place in my heart! I will continue catering and using my food trailer to still serve delicious Southern Style Food and accommodate everyone the best I can. I am going to be doing my delicious cakes and sweet treats for all occasions as well. Keep me in mind for Weddings, Birthday Parties, Family Functions, Work Parties etc. We are selling all of the contents inside the restaurant if you know of anyone looking for equipment, tables chairs etc. You can private message me if interested in anything. Again thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope you all have a blessed day and hope to see you soon!😘
