We asked our servers and bartenders if anyone wanted to share their story and their thoughts on question 5. What follows, is the first in a series of stories, we will be posting up until the election. Names have been removed. If you recognize the server from the story, please refrain from mentioning their name. Disrespectful comments will be removed. ✌️👍 “Please vote no on question 5. I came to America when I was nineteen. I immigrated legally, on a Donnelly visa. God bless Congressman Brian Donnelly and God bless America. The visa allowed me to work in the states. When I got here, I immediately got a full time job at a supermarket. I worked my way into management. To earn extra money, I started a part time job bartending at the Irish Embassy in Easton. I loved it so much that in 2000, I got a second part time job waitressing across the street at Maguire’s. In 2004 I had my first child. After I returned from maternity leave at the supermarket, I found I was spending seventy five percent of my income on child care. I made the decision to quit the supermarket and continue working part time at Maguire’s. Soon after, I had my second child. Maguire’s made it possible for me to stay home with my two babies, raise them, work part time and earn a comfortable living. Myself and my co-workers make well over the minimum wage. We like the current system and don’t want it to change. Please don’t try and fix something that isn’t broken. In 2005, at the state house, in Boston, I was sworn in along with several hundred other immigrants, as a US citizen. It was the most honorable moment of my life. I beg you, vote no on question 5. “

Hibiki, the Japanese phrase meaning a sense oneness that unveils an aroma of flavors is the perfect compliment to your dining experience!
