Most of you know Ellis Sanchez is currently attending Interlochen School for the Arts - he will be playing with Nina Emery, a 19-year-old jazz vocalist coming off her first year of study at Berklee College of Music. Born and raised in Bucksport, Maine, she fell in love with jazz through her high school music teacher - sound familiar?

Well I think this is crazy cool. Donavon de Cesare found this metal blueberry rake recently and noticed it was stamped "E.S. Martin & Co." E.S Martin & Co. was the first business to occupy our building (in 1887) and that rake was made somewhere very near the spot it's now hanging in!

A few scenes from the last week. Thanks to the USS Lassen and your deeply kind and respectful crew, to Eastport’s Department of Public Works for cleaning up after everyone and everything, to our City and our Police Department for managing all of it but most of all to Hunter, Jenie, Janet, Zach, Sarah, Ellis, Lucinda, Jocelyn and Quinlan. Some great specials to celebrate our nation's 250th and the arrival of the USS Lassen in Eastport America! Hunter's big bold Lobster Roll on a fresh warm baguette. Nothing but fresh locally caught lobster drenched in butter and a few local chives. Colvard Brats on a baguette with carmelized onions and Raye's Old World Mustard. A gorgeous Angel Food Cake with lemon curd and a whipped thyme cream cheese on the side, a beautiful strawberry trifle, strawberry rhubarb crisp and a terrific snickerdoodle ice cream sandwich with homemade strawberry/blueberry custard.
