π¬ Glitter-Dipped Candy Apples π
A fun and festive treat perfect for parties and special occasions!
π Prep Time: 10 minutes | π Cook Time: 10 minutes | π½ Servings: 6 apples | π₯ Calories: 250 per apple
π Ingredients:
6 medium apples π
2 cups granulated sugar π¬
1/2 cup light corn syrup π½
1 cup water π§
1 tsp red or colored food coloring (optional) π¨
1 cup edible glitter β¨
Wooden sticks or skewers π₯’
π Instructions:
1. Wash and dry apples thoroughly, then insert a wooden stick into the top of each apple.
2. In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
3. Bring the mixture to a boil and allow it to cook without stirring until it reaches 300Β°F (hard crack stage) on a candy thermometer.
4. If using, add food coloring to the mixture and stir gently to combine.
5. Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool for a minute.
6. Dip each apple into the candy coating, swirling to coat evenly.
7. Roll the coated apples in edible glitter for a sparkling finish.
8. Place dipped apples on a parchment-lined baking sheet to cool and set.
