Happy Saturday everyone!

A quick heads up-

If you are coming for cheesecake today, they won't be ready to cut until around noon! Another late night in the kitchen had these beauties not coming out of the oven until about 3 am to cool and then set up in the fridge for at least 6 hrs.

We apologize for the wait. Cheesecakes definitely aren't a quick-fix dessert, and I'm still working on finding the magic formula to stay ahead of demand. One day we'll get there! 😅. 🫠

We have our breakfast and lunch options, a case full of donuts, cinnamon rolls, our mini cobblers and cheese danishes! We will also have our pepperoni rolls (while they last)!

We are sold out of cheesecake today but don't worry, I'm making more tonight! 😜

Today has been an amazing day! We would like to thank everyone that came out today to support us and enjoy our food!

We are open until 7 tonight and still have a few sweets in the case! Come see us for dinner or come tomorrow for cheesecake!

🎉 Undercover Mission Assignment 🎉
My father, Mike Carr, has a birthday coming up at the end of the month and does not have social media.

If you know me, you know I'm a little sentimental and firmly believe that memories are one of life's greatest gifts.

My dad has spent his entire life as part of this community. From laughing with childhood friends, to helping generations of teachers, parents, and children during his nearly 30 years at GW Elementary, to the current kiddos who still stop by for conversation, a little bullsh*tting, some history lessons, and of course, Yoo-hoo's—he's made a lot of life long connections and memories along the way.

Too often, we wait until someone is gone to share the stories, funny moments, and kind words that meant so much. I thought it would be pretty special for him to hear them now, while he can laugh, smile, roll his eyes, and tell us what really happened. 😂

So here's your mission:

If you have a Mike Carr story, memory, funny tale, or a few kind words you'd like to share, stop by Maveen's and drop a note in the bowl. And if you can't come in, leave it as a comment or message me and we will add it to the bowl! Try not to mention it if you see him, and he will never know!

On his birthday, we'll read them to him, and he'll have them to look back on whenever he needs a smile, a laugh, or a trip down memory lane.

We wanted to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone who came to see us today! 💜

We also want to apologize to anyone who made a special trip and found us unable to accommodate you. We never like disappointing anyone, and we truly appreciate every single person who chooses to spend their hard-earned money with us.

We've had a major uptick in business this week, and we are beyond grateful. Our goal is to keep growing, learning, and getting better every day. Sometimes, though, I have to remind myself that there are only so many minutes in a day, and we're just three humans trying to get'r done with the space and equipment we have.

Last night was a perfect example. We were up until 4 AM making cheesecakes in hopeful anticipation of another busy day. However, I forgot that cheesecakes have their own timeline and absolutely do not care about mine. 😂 So, of course they decided not to be ready to cut when we needed them to be.🤦‍♀️

Being so busy also meant we didn't have time to roll all of our pepperoni rolls in time. We also lost three pans of muffs that were patiently waiting their turn but ended up losing all their air before we could get them stuffed and into the oven. They started out looking ready to conquer the world and ended up looking like they needed a nap. Kinda like me after 2 hrs of sleep. But ya know what they say...No rest for the wicked! 🤣

The good news is that we're learning as we grow, and that's a blessing we'll never take for granted. We will always be honest and transparent with our customers because we would much rather be figuring out how to keep up than wondering where everyone is.

Thank you for your patience, your support, your kind words, and for continuing to believe in us. We appreciate you more than you'll ever know.

Now, it's time to figure out next week's cheesecake menu and work on our logistics so we can get those muffs stuffed, roll the rolls, and be ready when those cravings come knocking!
