Boy, I tell you…our stuff cabbage rolls are something else. If it’s not the favorite thing on our menu, it’s gotta be in the top five.
Folks love, love, love our stuffed cabbage rolls. Sometimes I wonder if it’s a generational thing…In ten or twenty years will everyone who loves cabbage rolls and stuffed green peppers and chop suey and such be gone? Who knows? You don’t see many teenagers ordering beef stew though, I know that. Maybe I should create some sort of young people eating old people food promotion lol
I bet they’d love it if they tried it!!

I’ve just been informed (thank you Linda U.!) that it’s National Hamburger Day.

Well, there’s few things we like more than a fake, meaningless, made up holiday! 😂🍔

We haven’t done half price burgers in FORVER so today seems like the perfect day to bring that back!

So I’ve had this idea for a while now and my husband and son are going to try and make it come to life for me.

I thought it would be so cute to have a little circular arbor with flowering vines climbing up it. I guess will see in a few looong months if it works! lol
They planted mandevilla on each side. I hope they take off!

Greek day!

If you ever ordered our gyros plate or Greek salads you know they come with Kalamata…or “Greek”olives.

What you might not know is that the olives are from the very olive groves Mr.Paul harvested in Greece in the 1930s and 40s. His family still owns and grows and creates these olives. His nephew and godson sells his family’s olives throughout Greece

If I can find it someday I’ll share some pictures of his family olive trees. Olive trees can live for over one thousand years and I swear if you see some of these trees they look ANCIENT. They’re so impressive. Anyway, if you love olives, I thought you might enjoy knowing they come from our family’s farms.

So…as our regulars know I’ve been missing from work for a very long time now as I help take care of my dad. Well, he’s starting to feel better and I’m starting to get a little more help.
Today I actually had the afternoon “off.”
Sadly, my favorite restaurant is closed on Mondays 😢😂

Fortunately, I remembered my sweet friend Helen who is busy creating some delicious middle eastern food just down the street at cafezaytunelgin. My husband and I had a lovely late lunch there. Her flat bread pizza was amazing! Thank you, Helen!❤️🙏🏻

(And, yes, I feel exactly as tired as I look lol but I do feel like things are looking up and I very much appreciate everyone who has reached out and asked about my dad and I 💖💖💖)

I know the boss isn’t supposed to have favorites but everyone knows I have a special place in my heart for our teenagers. 💕

I may be biased but I’ve always thought Paul’s was a great place for a teenager’s first job.
Besides the fact that the boss might occasionally nag you about grades or goals, in general we just like to be a nice safe place for teens and young adults to learn the importance a great work ethic and responsibility and the important skill of working with the public.

The kids pictured (as well as the ones not here tonight)are so mature and friendly and responsible and such very hard workers. They make me really proud as I’m sure they make their families as well.

I feel lucky to have all of you! 👏🫶🏼
