Due to the forecasted Code Purple air quality alert, wildfire smoke, and heat, I've decided to keep the shop closed tomorrow, Friday, July 17th.

I'd rather not encourage anyone to be out in these conditions, and honestly, I want everyone (myself included) to stay safe.

Thank you all for understanding, and I'll see everyone Saturday for sticky buns!

This week's menu is up!

The mini chocolate babkas are back, and I couldn't resist adding a milk chocolate mocha blondie with whipped mocha buttercream. I also brought back both ice cream sandwiches after the lemon ones disappeared so fast last week.

I've been wanting to get back to my pastry roots for a while now, so I'm finally doing it.

Starting this month, TheFamiliarCreations will have a Monthly Pastry alongside the usual cookies, cupcakes, brownies, and Sinnies. It'll be a chance for me to bring in more laminated doughs, enriched breads, and pastries that I don't get to make every week.

First up... Chocolate Babka.

These are soft, buttery, filled with rich dark chocolate, and made completely by hand. They're not perfect yet, but that's part of the fun. I can't wait to keep learning, growing, and sharing new pastries with you all.
I'm really excited to bring this part of my baking back into the shop. I hope you'll come along for the journey.
