This holiday; KJ, Lando and I will be hanging at the cafe serving up some of our most treasured family recipes to any buddy who is in need of a warm home cooked meal.

The women in our families have had a reputation for feeding people. Whether porch dropping a few dinners worth to a new momma, or leaving baked goods in the mailbox for their mail person. Taking in stray neighborhood kids who might need a hot meal, or setting up a hot line at a funeral for people they might not have even known… this has been their love language. I feel a sense of responsibility to carry this on.

So come on in. Sit amongst members of your community and maybe even make a new friend. Or call us at 231-498-6005 and we will box it up for you and you can take it to go. We would love to have you!

The cafe will be closed 8/15-8/22 for a summer breather, to allow staff to spend some much needed time with family and loved ones.

Burgies are still right on schedule 8/21 from 4-8 🍔

Harbor days is here 🎆

We are blessed to be just about busier than we can handle since we embody a “made fresh daily” way of life over here on the east side. KJ is proofing more focaccia than ever before, and we are thrilled to see it going out on almost every single plate of breakfast! Hey mom, remember when I asked you to make your first loaf?! 🫶

To keep up with the harbor days demand, here is what we’re rolling with this week! I try to remind every buddy we are simply 2 cooks, with 4 burners… cooking out of a building that was designed to be a bait shop. It’s never boring 😉

We did receive a review a short time back that we need more cooks. I had a good laugh at that. Yes we sure could, us and every other food business. We are considering this moving forward, and have lots of exciting news to share soon once the details are hammered out.
