The doors will open again at Perkup, just enjoy the ride and appreciate what these two young people and their family are committing to! Life is good! Happy Tuesday, March 31, 2026! We had our soft opening March 23, 2012 and it is a chapter ago that flew by! Yes…a new chapter, more excitement for 27 N Wisconsin St. Dave, Hayden, Devin, Mackenzie, Logan and I want to thank you for the confidence you have had in our family. We have enjoyed our community, coffee and conversation in Elkhorn’s living room! Always look up and be bold as we all move into a new season of life! Blessings to all❤️🙏🇺🇸☕️🐄

PerKup will be closed tomorrow, March 28th! Dave and I are headed to Dubuque to attend a Rolling Hills Annual meeting and visit The Goose and Giggles crew! See everyone Tuesday, March 31st for our last day! We will be having live music at 10:00❤️ Have a great weekend!

As this chapter comes to a close for my family at Perkup, we reflect what Perkup means to us and how it enriched our lives in so many ways! The coffee, community and conversation in Elkhorn’s living room will always be a highlight when we reminisce. It is hard to believe 13 years ago we had our soft opening for Perkup! As Perkup moves forward with Kyle and Emily Hoskins, please embrace their vision, style and business plan that they will bring to 27 N. Wisconsin St. Thanks for believing in the Kyle family and we will always cherish this chapter!

Happy Friday to Elkhorn today! PerKup has a new face and she is Hannah McGee! Fun story about Hannah is that I was getting my pick up order at MamaT’s and out came this bubbly blonde who was skipping out the door! I told her “I want what you have”! …and the rest is history! She has been to Colectivo coffee school and is already a barista rockstar! She works Wednesdays and Fridays! Come to find out her dad, Luke McGee did my electric when I first opened Perkup! Full circle again and again in Elkhorn’s living room! Even though the ownership is changing from Mr. And Mrs. Kyle to Kyle and Emily Hoskins, you can count on consistency and the same amazing service and friendly faces you have grown to love! Enjoy this beautiful first day of spring🙏❤️🐄🇺🇸

Had a surprise visit from Ben and Bailey Mahon on Thursday when I was working at Perkup! They both worked at Perkup as baristas! Always enjoyable having that fun loving young energy around as they made life exciting! Now…all grown up and finding their way in the world! Love these full circle reminiscing moments in Elkhorn’s living room! Thanks for the visit as it filled my heart🙏❤️☕️🐄🇺🇸

Saturday was full of conversation, community and coffee! My Irish mug was Charlie Madden’s! I decided to pull it out in his honor! Charlie was an everyday latte drinker, crossword lover and architect that was old school! Charlie gave a new meaning to vintage and wisdom! Charlie left us too early very unexpectedly a few years back! What I learned from Charlie was how to figure out directions from where I was in town! Anyone who knows me knows I am not good at that! Charlie was a deep thinker, loved to go in the weeds with critical thinking and was an out of the box thinker and lover of great architecture. He designed many amazing homes in Walworth County! We think of him often and I love drinking out of his special cup🙏🇺🇸☕️❤️ Honoring a man who helped Perkup become what it is today! A living room that embraces truth and grace!

Happy Wednesday! Yes…Laurie is behind the counter today! Some people just have a hard time getting off the stage! Well…as you all know Perkup is getting handed off to the Hoskins family and the Kyle’s couldn’t be more thrilled❤️🙏 Like Greg and Brenda Kaplan picking a new neighbor for everyone is one of the most important things to think about! The Elkhorn downtown area is fun and different everyday! Perkup conversations are full of meeting in the middle and enjoying a cup of good Colectivo coffee! I have been so blessed over the 13 years to see so many people come in and out of the doors and sit in the living room and enjoy each other and respect each other’s opinions! I never had to put my referee shirt on and work through that in Perkup’s classroom! Feeling blessed and excited for retirement❤️🙏🇺🇸🐄☕️
