Over the years at Hummingbird Hollow we've been blessed to host so many remarkable couples and groups for our tantalizing Texas Foodie Adventures and Texas Luxury Weddings. None of them have been more interesting than meeting Janis and Roger last evening. This lovely mature couple are World Travelers. She grewup in Berkeley California and he's from London. They've been married for 30 years and somehow they settled in Palestine Texas. In their youth they were at the forefront of the Counter-Culture music scene. Janis saw the Jefferson Airplane including Grace Slick's last show with the band and countless concerts at the legendary music venue, the Fillmore West. Across the pond, her husband Roger loved the London pub scene. He saw the Beatles in concert. TWICE! Including the famous rooftop concert in London. He also saw Jimi Hendrix, Joe Cocker and Eric Clapton with Cream. Their stories were amazing. So was their incredible 5 course feast from Chef Pamela's kitchen. They loved last night's expertly prepared and beautifully presented culinary adventure. It's so exciting to see how much enjoying our phenomenal feast can bring people together.
