Project Facelift

To help maintain a safe and clean work environment, we will be undergoing a disinfecting and cleanup project on the look and feel of the shop. This means, no more dine-ins or coming into the store for some time. All orders are take-outs only or with seating available outside. We will be shifting to a limited menu while we undergo this phase. Many of the entrees will be removed, but your favorite bagels, egg sandwiches, $5 sandwich of the week, and assorted coffee drinks will stay. We want to continue to be the best community cafe we can, so do bear with us as we go through this phase.

Happy Halloween!

In honor of the Halloween spirit. This Sunday we will be in costume and handing out candy to those who are trick or treating during work hours. Feel free to drop by with your kids or pets, and take photos with us and enjoy a treat or two. Plus live music will be outside as well.

We are a community cafe where we make drinks and food, and customers come and pick it up. We don't have servers, just good and fun people who like to cook or make drinks. Must be able to speak comprehendible English. Know how to take orders and make them. Been around over 5 years and growing. We reward and appreciate those who work hard and willing to learn new things. Yo solo hablo un poco de espanol. Hours are 7am-1pm on weekends and 6am-3pm on weekdays. Some part time dishwashing/cleaning work may be needed from 11am-2pm on weekdays. If you believe you want to own your own cafe or business one day, this is the place to work at. No experience necessary, but must be able to learn fast. Must have or get food handler certification. Please include resume or CV.

Weekly Sandwiches

There's been an extreme amount of interest last month and this week on what our weekly sandwiches are. Each week, we rotate a new sandwich and customers are frequently calling in to ask what sandwich it is this week. Well, let's save us both some time, and we'll just list the weekly sandwiches forthcoming.

Oct 11th - Chicken Pesto Sandwich on a roll, cottage cheese, roma tomatoes, spinach, and pressed like a panini
Oct 18th - House Made Spicy Chicken Katsu Sandwich, pickles, tomatoes, swiss cheese, lettuce
Oct 25th - Ebi Katsu Sandwiches, cabbage, pickle, japanese mayo, on soft white bread
Nov 1st - Italian Fresh Mozzarella, salami, roasted red peppers with olive oil on soft seeded bread
Nov 8th - Salmon Croissant Sandwiches with cucumbers, thinly sliced lemons, chives and dills using a special house sauce
Nov 15th - Grilled Eggplant Lettuce Wraps with olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickled jalapenos on a french bread
Nov 22th - Thai Curry Chicken Sandwich on a roll

We also take requests, so if you have something on your mind you would like to see, don't hesitate to drop us a line or suggest it. 52 weeks in a year, so that's 52 sandwich options.

Bringing Back Duck Confit

Last time we made duck confit, it was a smashing hit, and already our customers are asking when's the next one?

Well, we'll be adding it to a 5 course meal, feature Chef Chan and another chef, cooking together to serve a candle-light dinner event at Dee Spot.
BYOWine of course. The event will be listed on Eventbrite and Chefsfeed, and we'll send you a link once details are confirmed. It will most likely be held on a Saturday evening starting around 6pm. Details are still in the works, but we'll keep everyone posted. Until then, stay safe!

We are excited to show you these new products. Come on in to check them out, we think you’ll love them as much as we do.

Each week, we will feature a new sandwich special for just $5 Monday-Friday. It will be available all week. These sandwiches are regularly priced at $8.50. Add small bag of chips and soda for just $2. (No substitutes unfortunately and add-on only available for lunch special). Sandwiches queued up for the special for example will be turkey avocado, tuna sandwiches, chicken pesto, spicy veggie with roasted peppers, and much more. Come get one during this limited time offer.

New TAIYAKIs!

We would like to introduce a new item--the Taiyaki. We have experimented with different flavors aside from the traditional redbean with brown sugar boba, lox & cream cheese, bacon egg and cheese, spinach and parmesan, and much more. Sold over 200 pieces to-date, and demand for different flavors and batter have grown. Let us know which flavor is your favorite and we can see what we can do. Made fresh to order--the only way to eat these common street food delight.
