For those who know Kai Ola Sushi, you know that Chef Matthew is much more than a chef—he is family.
Since the very beginning, Matthew has been a driving force behind the heart and soul of Kai Ola. Through his passion, leadership, kindness, and dedication, he has helped create the special place that so many of us have come to love. He has welcomed guests with a smile, shared his incredible talent, and touched countless lives along the way.
Today, Matthew is facing the toughest challenge of his life.
He has recently been diagnosed with lymphatic cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. As a single father, this journey comes with emotional, physical, and financial challenges that no one should have to face alone.
As a community, we have an opportunity to give back to someone who has given so much to all of us.
