🚨IMPORTANT POST ALERT!🚨

Hi folks, Sierra again! I have a lot to say with this post:

1.) First and foremost... THANK YOU to everyone who visited us this weekend in support of our friend, "M." It was an absolutely incredible day, bringing us our highest day of sales EVER! With that said, I'm thrilled to announce that we will be able to gift "M" with $3,200. That's incredible.

Owning a small business in downtown Ephrata is hard, and there are plenty of days that end with me questioning if it's all worth it. BUT... the moments of business ownership that make me the most proud are moments like this. The Ephrata Community is amazing, and time and time again, ya'll show up to show love for one another. It is an honor to be part of this community, and I will forever brag on the incredible customers that we have at G&G. YA'LL ARE THE BEST, and I have so much appreciation.

2.) I'm super duper proud of my staff for how they handled this weekend, AND ALSO, I acknowledge that we all need a break. With that said, we will be CLOSED tomorrow (Tuesday, June 30).

3.) WE WILL BE OPEN this Saturday, July 4th, until 12 noon. And the rest of the week we will operate as normal, other than being closed tomorrow.

Grateful for ya, Ephrata.

Have you ever seen the "Sierra Special" on our drink menu and wondered what that's all about???

We start with way too much caffeine for our base. Next, we stir in crippling anxiety and the fear of failure. We fill the cup the rest of the way with perfectionism and obsessive tendencies. And finally, we top the drink with a dash of social awkwardness. Available lukewarm or extra bitter.

🚨IMPORTANT POST ALERT!🚨

Hi folks, Sierra here, and I'm reaching out with a big ask...

Many of you know that over the years of G&G being downtown, we've come to know and build relationships with many of the unhoused folks in Ephrata. And thanks to all of YOU, we're able to offer our "Pay It Forward" board (another opportunity to build connection with the community).

It has recently been brought to my attention that one of our friends is struggling and could use the extra love and support right now. To protect their identity, we'll call this person "M!" About a month ago, M was discovered living out of their car in an Ephrata parking lot after losing a good job due to health issues. And just last week, after making a trip to the hospital, M found out that they were diagnosed with stage 2 colon cancer.

This is hard on anyone, but especially hard for someone with no income, no stability, no support system. And it feels too important to not do anything, so...

This Saturday, June 27th, from 7am to 2pm, we'll be hosting a fundraiser at G&G to help provide some stability and hope for M. And that's where you come in, Ephrata! We'll take a portion of proceeds from the day to go towards M's car insurance & inspection, a cell phone bill, and any other medical expenses that may occur in the future. All you gotta do is visit us and enjoy a good coffee and tasty crepes!

Maybe the goal is to provide some financial stability for M, or maybe it's to remind them that they are loved and supported. But either way, I know that this community cares deeply and holds great power.

Let's do this! 🤘
