✨ A little life update + I need your opinion ✨

Hi friends 🤍
I wanted to hop on here and share a little update and get your honest thoughts.

Some of you know me from my baking days, and that part of my heart is still very much there—I’ve even started making custom sweatshirts and I’m hoping to add custom aprons soon (yes, baking vibes included 🧁).

But over the past few months, I kind of fell into something I never expected… vintage reselling. Around September/October, I started sourcing vintage and antique pieces—cottagecore, grandma-core, cozy old treasures—and I absolutely fell in love with it. Bringing old things new life and finding them the right homes has been such a thrill, and I truly love doing it.

I’ve started an online vintage shop (live on Whatnot and also through Facebook), and I even offer personal thrift shopping if you’re ever looking for something specific.

Now here’s where I need your opinion 💭
I’ve been debating whether to:
• transform this page into my vintage shop page
or
• start a brand new page just for that

I know many of you followed me here for baking content, so if I lose some followers, I completely understand—no hard feelings at all 🤍 And if you’d rather follow along on a separate page instead, I’m more than happy to do that too.

I’ve been doing this for about three months now, and it’s been so much fun. I’m excited to see where it goes, and I’m even hoping to do some market/pop-up events this year with sweatshirts, handmade aprons, and cozy vintage finds so I can see some of you in person 🥹🤍

This path looks a little different than baking, but I’m really excited about it. I’d truly love to hear your thoughts—what would you prefer?

The following cookies with be offered. I need to empty my pantry. I may have a few cookie sales friends. I’ve been out if work for the past 4 months without disability( after breaking my leg) We are started the hunt for something now but until then I need to get some income coming in.
All orders are so greatly appreciated, if you can’t buy sharing this post and liking will do wonders friends 🩷

A New Chapter for EquestriYUM…

Since 2018, Formally KatieCakes & Co, now known as Equestriyum has been such a big part of my life. I’m beyond grateful for every customer, supporter, and friend who’s cheered me on along the way. Your kindness, generosity, and encouragement have meant the world to me. It hasnt gone unnoticed, for that im grateful. Every event or order youved placed/come to has meant the world.

After a lot of thought and prayer, I’ve decided it’s time to close the baking side of Equestriyum. This wasn’t an easy decision, but I feel very much at peace with it. Over time, I’ve found the joy of baking for business starting to fade, and I want to give myself space to explore new opportunities, whatever they may be.
This closing has nothing to do with lack of orders nor the money side of it.
This has been a decision ive thought on for 1 year and since breaking my leg I felt God answer all those prayers very quickly and i feel called to follow them.

While I may not be taking custom orders anymore, this isn’t goodbye! I’m planning to keep this page active and posting reviped you can purchase, maybe some decorating tips, so you can still bring a little Equestrium magic into your own kitchen. Honestly anything you guys want to know business or baking wise let me know and I’ll post it! 🥰

We will still be fulfilling all the weddings we’ve committed to for this year and the few already booked for next year. However, we will not be attending the Equine Horse Expo or the PA Horse Expo this year or next. At least at this time… unless my horse stuffies take off lol.

From the bottom of my heart—thank you for making these past years so sweet. I’m excited to see where the next chapter takes us, and I hope you’ll stick around for the journey. 💛

Hi Friends, It’s been a hot minute since I’ve been on. I thought I’d come on with an update for you all.
I recently got my stitches and staples out. If you’ve never had it done and are wondering if it’s painful, coming from me… yes, very painful, lol. I hated every moment of it. Otherwise healing is going well, I’m slowly started to transition from a walker to a cane around the house. Although outside my balance is still a bit wobbly.
I can stand for about 20 minutes before I need to sit. And I can go about a max of 3 hours before I need to elevate my foot from sitting position. ( we are really getting into the details 😜)
I started up PT about a week ago and she’s really pushing me which I’m thankful for.. but my ankle/ leg is not😅.
I was told I have a healing time of about 3 months which I originally thought was going to be 6 weeks.
Over the next couple weeks I’m going to take some time deciding what this means for EquestriYUM moving forward.
I need to do what is best for me at the time with my leg, and financially.
I hope you can all understand 💛
I like to think God has some humor, it’s something I’ve been thinking about for a bit and felt him calling me somewhere else and just wasn’t sure. I can’t help but think this was a “I told you to stop.. now I had to help” type of moment .
Either way, any continued prayers for healing and pain are appreciated!

Hi friends, coming on as an update. I’m still trying to get ahold of everyone. I broke my leg on Sunday, had surgery yesterday. I will be in the hospital until Wednesday and will not be able to take any orders until at least mid August.
If I haven’t reached out to you and you ordered cake/ cupcakes or am using me as a food vendor I’m doing the best I can with whatever I have with me currently.
Would greatly appreciate prayers over pain and recovery as I move forward. 💛
