Hi Friends, we are going to close up shop at 6pm tonight (7/14), so our staff doesn't have to drive during the hight of the storm (or so the radar says). Hopefully it wont be too bad, but were just going to play it safe. Have a nice evening everyone & be safe.

Cafe soft opening July 7th!

Here's what we are doing:

The Cafe will be open daily 7am-2pm. We will be here to make all your coffee drinks. The case will be filled with baked goods. We are already stocking the cold case with lunch sandwiches. We are not making breakfast sandwiches at this time. We will in the future.

I want to be clear about a few things: we are not a deli, we are not a butcher shop, we do not cook to order. Currently we have a full coffee bar, baked goods and pre-made lunch sandwiches.

As with everything we've done here at the store, we are opening in stages. We will add more as we train more staff, finish building the kitchen & add more equipment. We have lots of plans and we are checking them off the list! Thanks for all the patience and support.

So: stop in to say hi, grab a damn good cup of coffee, laugh at us as we bump into each other as we figure out our new space. See you soon friends 🧡

Whats in a name? I went back and forth whether I should have a separate name for the cafe or if the whole building should be just: the Errol General Store. I really wanted to use this name for a long time. I mean, I registered the name back when I thought I was putting a cafe in the Knot Just Logs building back in 2019. I think I just want the cafe to have its own identity within the store. So thats that, two names, one place, all good vibes.

Ya ya I stole the name from Ed's home town. A town I called home for 12 years. A town I loved. Norfolk is known as the Icebox of Connecticut. Icebox doesn't have much significance up here in my hometown in Northern New Hampshire (other than its cold up here like 9 months of the year). But it does in my heart... so here we are. Stay tuned for the opening date of the Icebox Café at the Errol General Store! See you soon Friends 🧡

This little coffee shop inside a grocery store is getting closer and closer to opening. Although we are just counter service, we will have a few tables inside and outside. Stayed tuned... opening very soon!
