From “Taco Thursdays” to Escalon’s taco stand 🌮❤️

What started in 2014 as a way to feed hungry athletes during football practice at the Escalon Community Center has grown into Tacos de Nieve, a beloved local business serving schools, fundraisers, and community events across Escalon.

With help from a $9,750 Business Expansion Grant through the City of Escalon and Oak Valley Community Bank, Renee and her family are expanding with a fully equipped concession trailer — making it easier to serve larger crowds while keeping their authentic flavors and community spirit front and center.

Tacos de Nieve has spent more than a decade giving back to Escalon through donations, fundraisers, and volunteer support. This new chapter ensures they’ll keep doing what they do best: bringing people together over great food.

Keep an eye out for the next grant cycle — expected to open in fall 2027.

Did writing this take me over 24 hours? Yes. 🥺 More than anything, I wish you were still here so I could pull up in front of your house and show you this new adventure. You were always one of the first people I wanted to share my big moments with. I recently read a book where the author dedicated it to their father, and one line stayed with me. It made me think of you. I know we’ll be reunited again someday, Grandma. Until then, it’s moments like these that remind me just how much I miss you. The pride I wish I could see in your eyes, the hug I wish I could have, and the chance to hear you say, “Reneha que estas haciendo?” 🥹

🌮 Welcome to the new home of Tacos de Nieve! 🌮

This trailer represents so much more than a new way to serve tacos. It represents growth, late nights, taking chances, believing in yourself, and an amazing community that believes in small businesses.

I want to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported Tacos de Nieve over the past 12 years. Every event you’ve booked, every recommendation you’ve made, every like, share, and kind word helped make this possible.

A special thank you to the City of Escalon, Oak Valley Bank, the grant committee, my family, my incredible crew, my investors, and everyone who believed in this dream before it became reality.

This is just the beginning! We can’t wait to bring even more tacos, quesadillas, churros, smiles, and memories to weddings, birthdays, schools, businesses, community events, and everywhere in between.

Here’s to the next chapter. ❤️

I love catering weddings! But it’s even more special when the groom is part of a great group of guys that moved into your neighborhood and you’ve catered all their weddings! They were all these 20 something year old bachelors that I was always able to give taco leftovers too! Almost all of them are married, and having their own children and I’m super lucky when I get to see them and see what they are up too! Spencer I love you guys! .dickens_ you looked absolutely amazing! Congratulations to you guys! It was great seeing you nini and kenny! The best part of taco parties is you never know who’s going to be there!

What a weekend! ❤️🌮

This was one of our busiest weekends yet, with 10 events  starting Friday ! From a Celebration of Life, graduation parties, a car show, and two beautiful weddings, we were honored to be a part of so many special moments.

As always, Sebastian and Cruz were right there by my side ❤️ We were also lucky to have Brien and Neveah jump in, along with two new helpers, Payten and Stephanie. Having an amazing taco crew makes life so much easier, and I couldn’t do it without them!

There are definitely moments when I’m exhausted, but weekends like this remind me how blessed I am. I’m always thankful to stay busy, and I truly love what I do. Most of all, I love taking care of all of you and being part of your celebrations, milestones, and memories.

We’re going to enjoy a few days to catch our breath, and then it’s right back at it again! Thank you for continuing to support this little taco business of ours. We appreciate every single one of you. 🌮❤️

There’s just something so special about celebrating a new baby girl 💕We had such a beautiful time catering a baby shower for a local family and once again teaming up with the amazing . The venue looked absolutely beautiful with the sweetest flower bar setup and so many thoughtful touches for baby girl 🌸 Guests enjoyed buffet-style tacos with carnitas, chicken, and asada and it was such a great afternoon filled with family, friends, good food, and lots of love. Forever thankful to be a small part of these special moments in our community 🫶🌮 🍷

We had so much fun working with the and Dent Elementary for their first literacy night! The story time bus, tacos and was a perfect, fun filled, family night!
