Thank you again to everyone who visited us this last week of the Village. Not only are two of these lovely ladies members of our team they were also the LAST customers to ever be served at the Village ♥️

We understand an article came out in the Gloucester Daily Times today stating that we are open until 4pm today but we are CLOSED! We completely ran out of food by 7pm last night and have nothing left to serve. We did originally expect to make it to Wednesday but in just the 6 days since we announced our closure almost 4000 people found their way to the Village for a farewell meal. It was our pleasure to share this time with all of you but now is time for our team to get much deserved rest and have their final goodbyes at our private employee appreciation dinner.

And just like that we are saying our final farewells and getting ready to turn the lights off one last time. Thank you everyone for helping us successfully sell out of food and giving our team an incredible (and exhausting) send off. We are sorry we did not make it to lunch tomorrow but we have been honored to serve you.

We will have our final goodbye with our team tomorrow so you may see some cars in the lot but this is a PRIVATE event and we appreciate you allowing us this time with our families.

Next time you enter this building it will have a new sign but we are completely confident that the restaurant will still be full of light, love, and all the same passion behind every dish that the Village provided. We will see you on the other side of the bar!

WE ARE OUT OF HADDOCK!!! 📣

We still have clams, shrimp, swordfish, and lobster for seafood but we are running out fast. It does not look like we will be making it to tomorrow.
We do plan on staying open for dinner but we may not have much seafood left. If you’re looking for just the nostalgia of the Village, we’re happy to feed you. But please understand we may no longer have your favorite dish on the menu. Thank you for all the support!

We are winding down and have updated our menu to reflect what we have left. We've been having a blast with everyone and could not be more grateful for the wonderfully positive and supportive ending to our Village. If we do run out of food today we will NOT be open tomorrow. We will make an announcement as soon as we know.

Our Village Creamery sold out yesterday and is CLOSED. Thank you to our Creamery Crew and all of our patrons for the amazing support over the last 4 seasons.

It’s a unique day when the Village is open on a Monday! Our hearts are so full with the over 2,000 people that showed up this weekend to show love to our Village Family 🥰🥰. So much so, we decided to restock on haddock, clams, and onions for onion rings to keep this party going! We do expect to run out of chicken and scallops today so if your heart is craving one of our famous Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches get in early! We’re open 11:30-8 today. And our incredible Creamery manager Lucia will be open at Village Creamery from 12-7 to get you all the 1/2 priced goodies to stock your freezers with! Dreary weather won’t get us down! We’re going out with big smiles, warm hearts, and full bellies 😋

This is what it’s been all about! Over our years at the Village we have been the center of many family traditions. Whether it be generations of employment, your annual Mother’s Day celebration, or, like the Bowen family pictured below, your weekly family dinner! These traditions have been the bright light in all of our hard work and sacrifice. Thank you for all of your kindness and support ♥️. These memories are what we will look back on fondly.

We have 3 and a half days left! Everything must go so please come enjoy some fresh seafood and head to the Village Creamery for half priced flavors. All dishes available only while ingredients are in stock so get in early. We will update our menu as items run out.

We have a full menu today! Since we are not continuing to order, we will update you as items run out. But we’re starting off the day with all your favorites like Fried Clams, Baked Haddock, and Lobster Rolls 😋
And don’t forget the Village Creamery will also be closing. The Creamery is being sold with the restaurant so get your favorite flavors, frappes, and sundaes before they’re gone!

‼️ATTENTION PLEASE‼️

Village Restaurant has an offical closing date!

Thank you everyone for your patience as we finalized the sale of Village Restaurant. As of this morning we finally have an official closing date of Wednesday September 27 at 4pm. Because we are closing mid week we will be open Monday and Tuesday next week to give everyone an opportunity to come in for a final meal and say their goodbyes.

We have been so honored by the overwhelming support, stories, and kind words everyone has been sharing with us over these past couple weeks. This is, indeed, the end of an era BUT the memories we have all made here are forever. We are happy our family was able to give you 5 more years of the Village and get to continue to share the traditions and recipes of this Cape Ann staple. As we get ready for closing, menu items will naturally run out, so we encourage everyone to get in and get your favorite meal before it is gone!

At 4pm on Wednesday we will be closing for a Staff Farewell Party. This is a private party for our incredible team and their families to have quality time together before we say our goodbyes. We request respect for this private event and that the general public does not try to attend. We know there is a lot of love for the Village and understand your desire to say goodbye which is why we have extended our Monday and Tuesday hours for you. Wednesday night will be just for us and we thank you for your cooperation.

We hope to see everyone over our final 5 days and get the chance to make one more memory with you!

Lee has successfully passed and it’s time to celebrate with tasty cocktails! With an extensive specialty list and bartenders with a decade+ of experience you absolutely cannot go wrong with a Village cocktail. We are open 11:30-8 today. And don’t forget to stop by the Village Creamery for frozen treats and check out their social media for 1/2 priced flavors!

If you haven’t tried our Lobster Mac N Cheese yet, now is the time! We are watching the storm and plan to be open 11:30-9. If we lose power or conditions are deemed dangerous we will announce any closures on social media. See you soon!

We are on storm watch!

Village Restaurant plans to remain open unless driving conditions are deemed too dangerous or we lose power. So while the sun is out and the roads are clear join us for an award winning Fish Sandwich and our famous Rum Bucket!
