We are so excited that our friends will open an Indonesian Foodtruck soon! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

The name is Bakoel Djakarta and it will be in West Eugene! We can vouch that is super tasty! The owner, Tera, had a catering business in Indonesia before she moved to Eugene about 5 years ago, and she also helped us on some menu like snack box during Bali Kitchen time. We can vouch that her cooking is super tasty, and one of our favorite activities is just drop by at her house to get dinner!

She has culinary education in Indonesia, but retake it again in Lane Community College and graduated last year with perfect grade, and has been working as private chef for some time. And after months of preparation, finally she will open her own business!

Follow their insta .or for more info!

Second to last day, and we received a heartfelt thanks card and ticket from .symphony ❀️❀️ thank you so much! 😭 We teared up a bit reading it.

Bit embarrassing to admit that we both never watch any concert symphony live before, because in Indonesia it's mostly only available in the capital city Jakarta and was too expensive for us.

And we just figure out from a friend that there's free symphony in the park this year but we had to skipped it because of foodtruck work. Thank you again for the tickets and surely we will go this fall ❀️❀️

After busy July with events, we will be open at our normal location on 8th and Olive on Wednesday.

But soon after that we will say goodbye, cause we will close permanently on Friday, August 12th.

We are really grateful for people in Eugene and Springfield and even some customers that come as far as from California and Washington, that supporting us along the way. For giving us a chance to introduce Indonesian food and be open minded to try it and love it, some highlights are:
- Customers that order one and come back immediately for a second.
- Customers that become our repeated, some even eat at us 3-5 times a week
- Customer that come back just to drop generous tips after eating just because he said it was so tasty, even though he already tipped when he bought it.
- Customers that brave enough to try up to level 13 spicy and proudly show us their empty plate.
- Customer that sometimes bring us presents and stuffs just because

And for the community that supporting us, fellow foodtruckers in our pod (All Thai'd Up, Cafe Agora, Bing King, Makeda, El Buen Sabor), that warmly welcoming us from very first day and give us countless helps. Eg. when our fryer is broken, Bing King lend us theirs, when out tent for event is broken Makeda's find us a tent to use, and many many others things from helped us moving heavy stuffs, let us store stuff under their trailer when we are away, and feed us with their delicious foods. People in this pod are awesome!
Foodies community that sharing about us and help us when our gray water tank get stolen, Elk Horn that bought us new ones.

Well, everything have to come to an end. After some consideration, and our first baby coming in soon, and we cannot find smaller cart to downsize, we decided to close for good.
Also we have our last year visa permit now, and our stay in US in only until June next year. And so far from our experience, summer is the time to make money for foodtruck, while winter we run either at breakeven or with super thin profit margin, so it is not worth it to keep it running this winter and rather we would like to focus on our expanding small family, and also I really need to finish my school.

And we are quite proud to end with 4.9 stars rating on Google and Yelp, and event though it shorter that we thought (as we originally plan to close down on April 2023), but it has been a fun and amazing experience! Thank you so much for being with us, and hope from this Wednesday until next Friday we can catch you up for a goodbye.
