Hey old friends! I hope you are well. I wanted to take the time to give a shoutout to Darlene’s Veg, which is in our old spot at 7th & Polk. Kristy and I went in today and the food was fabulous and inexpensive (and because it’s just the owners working there, they don’t take tips). Super fun atmosphere and quick, friendly service. Everything can be made vegan - it is all vegetarian, so if you’re vegan you will have to specify. Darlene’s is an 80’s inspired fast food restaurant with way better prices than your traditional fast food joint. They offer dine-in and take-out and do not take orders online or over the phone.

I had the lentil bowl, which came with a small salad, and had some of Kristy’s Jojos. Everything was very flavorful and the portions were plentiful.

They also have a pinball machine, video game and pachinko - join Darlene on her alien adventure and win some toy prizes. Bring the kiddos down and show Darlene’s some love! They’re open Wednesday thru Sunday 3-9pm. The owners were customers at Cornbread and I wish them much success.

Cajun seasoning $5 for one lb. And we have nutritional yeast left. $5 for 12 oz, $7 for one lb and $14 for 2 lbs. (Crystal the Pistol is not for sale!) And we still have most items in the photos.

We are going to try to have a sale this Wednesday from 4-7pm at Cornbread. Please check back here before coming. If it’s too smoky we will have to cancel again. This is a sneak peek of some of the items for sale. There are more items not pictured and we will also be selling bags of nooch for a better deal than you will find anywhere. Trying to wrap things up here and this sale will greatly help. I still have yet to read the of the comments from the closing post, along with other posts. I promise I will do that once I am able to.
