Hello it's Rose (Dement) Boyer!

Wanted to reach out to all the friends and regulars back home and let you know how I am doing. I live in Upstate New York and am married to a wonderful person and a mom to an amazing two year old boy. Starting over here has been good for us and I am proud to share I have also been a small business owner since 2020! I recently rebranded my photography business and have filed my DBA as Rose and Grain Studio. I am in the process of a rebrand and getting so excited to launch my new website soon.

Hello, my name is Rose and I would like to read you the menu. (Just kidding!)!

Here’s the news if you haven’t heard: Taro’s new restaurant, Akira Omikase, is open! On Mill Street between 3rd and 4th, kitty corner to Rye. It's a big green house that's been remodeled. Sorry I haven’t been able to write each of you back individually, I appreciate each of the hundreds of emails I have received from our beloved guests asking when we will be open and who have written to share their memories dining with us. We appreciate each and every one of you and our special memories together as well.
Here is a photo of Noriko, Taro’s mom, my fiancé Julian, and I during a really wonderful meal there for our first time in. I really loved it and appreciate all the hard work of so many that brought together the meal and made the new building so special. Thank you to Taro, Adam and everyone grinding in the kitchen, as well as Thor, Angela and Ruti who all took such great care of us and made it a such a magical experience. Go check it out for yourself!

Mame will be closing down for a while as Taro needs some time to take care of a family situation and to plan for the next space. We will have more details about the timeline of our re-opening sometime in June. For those who have graduation reservations already made we will still be taking care of you. For those who have gift certificates we are happy to reimburse you, or they will be accepted after we re-open. Thank you so much for all of the kindness and support over the last six years. Each of you has made this a truly special place for us to be a part of. Feel free to call us with any questions or concerns or to plan a private party. Thank you!

Hi All- Due to a small fire emergency, we will be closed tonight through Monday and will open back up for business on Tuesday. Thanks for your patience!

Due to a surgery, vacation and family trips as well as cleaning and training we will be closed Sunday November 12th and will re-open Friday November 24th. We are excited to have Da Nang serving awesome food out of this space while we are away. Thank you for your understanding and support.
