Happy birthday to my beautiful mom who continues to inspire me with her kindness, her love of family and friends, her energy, her love of gardening, and her zest for life and new experiences! Looking forward to the "Sip for the Cure Tea" this Thursday where 10% of proceeds will go to the Susan G. Kommen Fund. As a survivor myself, this is a cause near and dear to my heart! A dear friend for our church has invited 12 guests to join her for tea in celebration of her 80th birthday! Promises to be a fun one. I do have 2 spots remaining if anyone wants to grab them!

Feb. 7 -- Sweet Treat Tea (treat a special friend to tea as an early Valentine's celebration and make a memory locket from south hill designs)

March 7 -- Sip for the Cure Tea (lots of pink with 10% proceeds donated to Susan G. Kommen fund)

April 5 -- Daughters and Dolls Tea (during Minnetonka Spring Break, a great time to bring a daughter or grand-daughter and her favorite doll!)

May 2 -- Celebrate Mom Tea (what better way to thank your Mom than to have a relaxing afternoon tea with just the two of you!)

All teas are held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Bird House Inn
371 water St. in downtown Excelsior
$25.00 pp + tax

Thanks to all who had tea at Ima's Little Tea Spot during December and early January. We all seemed to have a good time taking a "pause" in our days. Thanks to the guest who referred to it in that way.
It was quite special to have Matt Culloton, Artistic Director of The Singers, do a reading of "A Cup of Christmas Tea" at the December Fa-la-la-tea-dah Teas. And authors Laura Childs (of the tea mysteries series) and Monica Ferris (author of mysteries set in Excelsior, MN) visited with guests at the Cozy Readers Teas last week and yesterday.
Due to demand, I held 3 teas in December and 3 in January instead of the once a month I had originally planned! And there are already reservations coming in for the upcoming teas in February, March April and even May!

Upcoming tea:
Feb. 7 Sweet Treat Tea with the opportunity to learn about or make a memory locket from south hill designs. I will be featuring a chocolate cream tea and of course many delectable desserts!

Additional tea on Dec. 5!

It seems like lots of people want to come for tea during the Holidays! The regular tea on Dec. 6 sold out several weeks ago. I added a second tea on Dec. 27 which is also sold out, so now I am adding a third tea on Dec. 5. Call soon to save a spot to enjoy an afternoon of high tea with a friend or two during the holidays!w

Here's what guest Susan Duchon had to say about the first Harvest Tea last Thursday. "THANK YOU for including me in your first tea. It was lovely in every aspect from the cups to the saucers and everything in-between. I loved it. The food and the company...but most of all the relaxing atmosphere and the fact it is a forced relaxation time to just sit and relax and chat, away from the political arenas, away from the hustle bustle of a restaurant. A chance to just sit and enjoy an hour or two in good company and great tea. "

Getting super excited about the first tea at Ima's Little Tea Spot next Thursday! There are open seats that I would love to fill as I have a couple of print media people coming and would love to have a full house. You might even get your picture in the paper!
