🌙 THE SUN’S CLOCKING OUT EARLY… BUT WE’RE STILL COOKING AT EXMORE DINER!

Shortly it will look like bedtime outside, but there’s still time for supper! We’re here until 8 PM tonight, and today’s special board is giving you plenty of reasons to leave the cooking to us:

We're looking to add a few new faces to our team! We have openings for both Front of House and Kitchen positions.

Whether you've worked in restaurants for years or you're just getting started, we'd love to hear from you!

We're looking for friendly, dependable people who enjoy working with others, are willing to learn, and take pride in doing a good job.

Experience is a plus, but a great attitude and a willingness to work are just as important to us.

5:30pm update. We are out of Cream of Crab. Depending on interest we may make another small pot on Saturday morning.

Just mixed a batch of crabcakes and cut 10lbs of flounder. Open until 8pm this evening. Let's eat.

🌿 EXMORE DINER — TURNIP GREEN ORDER UPDATE 🌿

All turnip green orders on our list have now been confirmed. Everyone should have received a confirmation number similar to this:

If you placed an order but have NOT received a confirmation number, please contact me ASAP through Messenger or text 757-710-9186. It’s possible I missed an order, and I want to make sure nobody gets overlooked.

Please remember, commenting on a Facebook post does not count as placing an order. I’m sorry for any confusion if you left a comment and thought your greens were reserved.

We’ll begin contacting folks tomorrow about pickup, starting with the first name on our list and working our way down. I strongly encourage you to make arrangements to pick up your greens when you’re notified.

I understand things come up and circumstances change. If you can’t pick up when contacted, please let me know. We can move on to the next name and circle back to you in a week or so.

We will not be preparing turnip greens during Thanksgiving week. The only exception will be if we’re still finishing the last few names on our current list.

The greens freeze very well! I’ve had folks tell me they’ve kept them frozen for a year with no issues, so you can pick them up and save them for later—including Thanksgiving dinner!

Saturday night was a reminder of just how special this little stretch of land we call home really is.

A South You Never Ate brought together good food, great people, and the stories and traditions that make the Eastern Shore our own.

At the heart of it all was Dr. Bernie Herman’s vision of celebrating our food and creating opportunities for the people who call this place home. As he put it: “One job for one person so one family doesn’t have to leave.”

We’re proud that Exmore Diner gets to be a small part of that story. Here’s a little glimpse of an evening worth sharing!
