Cafe Paradiso Paradise, one little cup at a time. We are located on the town square! (Corner of Broadway and Main.)
(378)

Cafe Paradiso was born out of one man's pure passion for great espresso. Owner Steve Giacomini has created his own unique blend of Organic, Shade-grown, Fair trade coffee beans, which he roasts daily. This premium, ultra-fresh coffee is ground fresh for each cup to make your cappuccino, latte, mocha, or espresso. Cafe Paradiso is also a nationally recognised haven for artists and musicians. Our dining room displays the talents of local artists and our stage provides a chance to hear both locally and internationally known musicians of all genres.

Don your Halloween duds and dance to surf and turf from Iowa City!
Brad & the Big Wave have made a name for themselves around Iowa with their versatile sound. Led by singer and songwriter Brad Pouleson, they've released three studio albums, “This Crazy World” in 2019, “Better Side of Life” in 2023, and just a few weeks ago, "Shine Your Light", all of which have garnered regular airplay on Iowa radio stations. On stage, the band brings a wall of sound that can either rock the house or bring things down and intimate. The song “Road to My Redemption” was a semifinalist in the 2020 Music City Songstar songwriting competition. For this show they will focus on getting you off your butt and onto the dance floor!

TONIGHT we have world renowned finger style guitar wizard, Richard Gilewitz!
Richard invariably captivates listeners with uniquely emotional interpretations of romping knucklebusters and contemplative classical tunes reimagined for steel strings. He credits his ability to pull the deepest breath out of a tune to having studied for decades with a classical guitarist, who was himself taught by a violinist who played alongside Albert Einstein. That is Richard in a nutshell…unusual, unique, surprising, and a true master of the guitar.
Richard will also teach a workshop Saturday 11 am-12:30 pm at 808 S. 3rd St.
