Fall River Garden Club Gardening, friendship, nature

07/10/2026

The Fall River Garden Club needs to form a committee to choose the ornaments that were donated to the Fall River Garden Club from the City of Fall River to decorate the Christmas Tree that will be raffled off at Araujo's Farm as a Fund Raiser for the club.

If you are interested please email Pauline by July 30, 2026.

The committee will meet on Monday August 3, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Pauline's home.

We will be wiring these ornaments that morning. Jeanne Duarte has donated a 6 foot tree for the raffle.

The theme for the tree is "Inspiration Into Summer"

The Fall River Garden Club celebrated the End of The Year Garden party at the home of Kurt and Karen Peterson. The weather was perfect for this occasion. Members arrived with arms full of delicious treats.

Judy Bento announced the FRGC
Scholarship winner, Caroline Hopkins, who graduated at the top of her class from Bishop Stang.

Everyone enjoyed themselves, good food, great conversations and plans to meet again in September.

Happy Gardening!

Message from Sandra Elliott

Sandra is looking for help to assist the Members of the Beautification Committee spread mulch on our 3 gardens

Date: Monday June 8th

Location:
Starting at 9 AM at Kennedy Park Garden located off Broadway. Drive in and the between the area for ice skating and stone over hang building (closer to the water
side).

The walkway -raised bed. Tree in the center

After mulching this garden we are traveling back to our Island Garden at New Boston Road and Highland Ave. right opposite Charlton Hospital.

About 11 AM we will travel to the last Garden at Pierce and Highland Ave. This garden is opposite the Methodist Church.

We are working with both the Parks Dept. and Department of Public Works. They are delivering the bags of mulch and will drop them around the inside of each Garden. We just open and spread.

Tools you will need: bring a rake, or hoe this would be helpful to spread and gloves.

With more people to help the less time we will be there. ☺️
