As we close our doors for the final time, I saved my last post for the people who made it all possible… our staff.

Over the past 51 years, we have been blessed with an incredible team. Some of you were with us for five decades, others for many years, and some for a shorter chapter—but every single one of you became part of our story.

People often complimented the food, the service, and the atmosphere, but the truth is, a business is only as good as the people behind it. You are what made The Liberal Club Restaurant what it was. We never forgot that.

Through busy Friday nights,and even the toughest days, you showed up with hard work, loyalty, and dedication.. Together, we served generations of families and created memories that will last a lifetime.

To every employee who ever wore our apron—past and present—thank you. Thank you for your dedication, your friendship, your loyalty, and for helping us build something we could never have imagined.

We leave with full hearts because of all of you.

Today is our last day.

Fifty-one years ago, we walked through these doors as two young kids, just 19 and 21 years old, with a dream and a lot of hope. Today, at 69 and 72, we close this chapter with hearts overflowing with gratitude.

This restaurant wasn’t just our livelihood it was our home. Our children and grandchildren grew up here from the time they were babies. We celebrated birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and countless ordinary days that somehow became special because we shared them together.

We’ve watched children grow up, bring in children of their own, and even grandchildren. Many of you came in as customers, but over the years you became friends, and many became family.

Thank you for every meal you shared with us, every conversation, every laugh, every word of encouragement, and for allowing us to be part of your lives for more than five decades.

As we lock these doors for the last time, we’re taking something far more valuable than a business with us. We’re taking a lifetime of memories and the love of an incredible community.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for giving two young kids a chance 51 years ago. It has been the honor of our lives to serve you. We love you Fall River ❤️

As we enter our final week, we are completely overwhelmed by the love, support, stories, cards, messages, and memories that have been shared with us.

For 51 years we thought we were serving meals, but you’ve reminded us that together we were creating friendships, traditions, and memories that span generations.

Reading messages like this brings tears to our eyes. We can’t thank our Liberal Club family enough for allowing us to be part of your lives.

This is not an easy post to write.
What started as a small family business grew into something far beyond what we ever imagined. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of serving generations of families here in Fall River watching children grow up, bring in their own children, and create traditions around our tables.
You welcomed us into your lives, and in many ways, you became part of our family too.
There are so many memories, busy Friday nights, familiar faces walking through the door, conversations that picked up right where they left off, and the simple joy of sharing a meal together. That’s what made this place special. It was never just about the food, it was about all of you.
We are deeply grateful for your loyalty, your support, and the relationships we’ve built over the past five decades. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives and your celebrations, big and small.
As we close this chapter on June 30th, we do so with full hearts and immense gratitude.
We hope you’ll stop in over the coming weeks to share a memory, a meal, and a proper goodbye.
