It’s hard to believe it’s been 2 years already.
As I reflect back on the past 15 years, I can't help but recall all the setbacks we have fought through. Substantial flooding in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2013, and 2019. Course reconstruction in 2010. Late start in 2018. All these events, each different in there own way, have all caused us degrees of difficulty in providing our service to our customers.
We have always operated on the premise of doing our best with what we have. There have been times when we have had to get by being short staffed with servers or being undermanned in the kitchen. While the results weren't always perfect, the effort usually was, and I am really proud of that.
Over the years, I have had the priviledge to have provided our service not only to the golfers of Edgewood, but to the loyal patrons of North Fargo. I feel truly blessed to have had the opportunity to know most of you and count you as friends. I will miss seeing you regularly.
I need to thank my amazing staff over the years. Especially those who have been with me for years and stuck it out through some difficult times. Sandi, Mike, DeAnne, Jon and Karen have all been here 10 years or more. I couldn't have done this for this long without them.
I'll send a shout out up to heaven to Dean and Bob, who I still miss every day. They were both a big part of us for many years and left this world way too soon.
There have been so many remarkable people I have employed over the years. I hope they all know how much I appreciate them.
I also want to thank Fargo Parks for all the support they have provided me over the years. I appreciate the confidence they placed in me.
Greg McCullough and his staff in the Golf Shop have made the golfing part of this experince very easy. I really appreciate everything Greg has done for me over the years and I am so glad I can call him a friend.
Lastly, my family and my business partner Bob. I wish this would have grown to be the entity we envisioned years ago, but none of this would have been possible without their support and confidence in me.
I'm not exactly sure what is next for me, my current staff, or the Edgewood Clubhouse facility. I will continue to post updates here as things start to fall into place.
Thanks again to everyone who has been a part of Divots. Last day is November 16.
