It’s been way too long since I’ve had the smoker out. After cleaning out the freezer, it’s full today! 12 pork butts, 3 racks of ribs, 9 beef ribs, and a small brisket flat are taking a smoke bath.

On Thursday night, the boss Scott Peterson and I cruised over to Pierz, MN for the MN Masters BBQ & Walkin' Wings competition. This is our 2nd KCBS 4-meat, but wont be the last! We liked our meats but realized we have a long way to go to compete at that level but did end up getting our first call, with 5th place in pork. Congrats to Son of a Boar BBQ and Hot Daddy's BBQ for their Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion, a tie broken by the computer! Lastly, a special thanks for Katelyn and all of the crew & volunteers. We can’t wait to come back next year!
