Morning, noon and Evening we are here for our customers. We have a large and diverse selection of terminal tackle for multiple fishing interests. From lures to lines for spin fishing, live bait & rod combos to entry level fly rod combos, leaders and hand tied flies. Stop by and see us, we are open every day of the year, save for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter 4:30am until 8pm.

Fishtail turned out in full force Saturday for Family Fun Day—pancake breakfast, duck race, a downpour right after the parade and sunshine back in time for the live auction. Max Jahn was spotted at day's end wading into the creek, fishing rubber ducks out of the water with a grin. That's Fishtail.

This week we talked to two very different groups about what patriotism means to them—United in Coffee and the Stillwater County Republican Women. Their politics don't always align. Their love for community and country does.

Stillwater County commissioners tabled a final decision on the controversial Molt sheep feeding facility after three hours of packed testimony (they approved it 3-0 on Thursday. See stillwatercountynews.com for details). Wildfire preparedness is nearing a milestone—read the details on Page A9. And Laurette Racicot is saying goodbye after 25 years at the Riverside Guest Cabins.

On Page 4, nearly 200 people gathered by candlelight to remember Sheldon Kosma. Sheriff's Chaplain Russ Dewell has a message for anyone who's hurting: you don't have to carry this alone.

Just a reminder, The Fishtail General Store will be open all 4th of July weekend, regular hours 4:30am until 8 pm. Deli hours are from 4:30 am until 7pm. Calling ahead has become a popular option, call our Deli and have your Sandwich or Pizza ready when you arrive. The earlier your call the better we can serve our customers needs.
We cannot thank the community enough for all the support we have received. Thank you all for supporting our American dream. Have a great Fourth of July weekend, we look forward to seeing everyone this weekend.

In keeping with our new lines of products as well as supporting Montana Business we’ve added Colter coffee (Kalispell), Fresh Baked Breads and Freeze Dried goods from Fishtail Food Distribution, and a company, not local but with a factory in my original hometown Louisville Ky, Stellar Pretzels.
