What an incredible experience at Windup in a Lake ’26 in Chicago.
A huge thank-you to for sponsoring the entire event and inviting us to take part in such a memorable weekend. It was a privilege to celebrate the historic connection between watchmaking and diving while marking 50 years of Citizen Eco-Drive innovation—not simply by talking about dive watches, but by taking them underwater and putting them to use on an actual Great Lakes shipwreck.
Our dive on the Wells Burt in Lake Michigan was absolutely fantastic. Great Lakes wrecks offer an extraordinary window into the past, and descending onto such a beautifully preserved piece of history made the experience especially meaningful. It was a powerful reminder that dive watches were developed as essential instruments for exploration and that the relationship between watchmaking and diving is a real and enduring one. Being able to experience that history alongside a team of divers and watch enthusiasts made the occasion even more memorable.
There was also something especially fitting about exploring the Wells Burt beneath the beams of our lights. Citizen Eco-Drive is powered by light—including artificial light—so the same OrcaTorch lights illuminating the wreck could also help power the Eco-Drive watches on our wrists. It was a perfect connection between the technology, the equipment, and the experience.

It was also incredibly rewarding, from the perspective of , to see so much Deep6 equipment being used throughout the team.
