Hiiiiii friends! Long time, no see ♥️

I’ve had a lot of you reach out in my hiatus, and I want you to know I hear you! As many of you know, I had a baby 9 months ago. As he got older, I started slowing down but then I found out in May that I was pregnant again, only 7 months postpartum. I have never had back to back babies so I was a wreck finding out 😂 My pregnancies are usually awful as I have had Hyperemesis Gravidarum every time. It started out rough but to my surprise, it’s let up and besides fatigue and a bit of nausea, I’m doing pretty good.

I am trying to make my comeback, I promise! I have missed seeing all of you and your smiling faces when you come to pickup your empanadas. School is about to start back up and I’m hoping my son will adjust well so I can get back to work asap! ☺️ I’m aiming for late August, but I will keep you all updated! ♥️

Hi everyone! Long time no see!

It’s with great sadness that I have to announce the closing of my little business for the foreseeable future. 😢 Due to some health issues and a PCS in our future, I’ve decided to close up shop. Making food for you all has been such a joy for me and I am so thankful for everyone who supported me and gave my food a try. I had such big plans for this little business and I hope to continue in the future, possibly at our next duty station 🤞🏼

Thank you all for your love and support! I have a few people who inquired about empanadas that I will be getting back to but I won’t be taking anymore orders moving forward. ♥️

Can I just say I have some of the most amazing customers? You guys have made this such an amazing experience. If you know me, I am a big ball of anxiety. I am a constant worrier. I waited years to put myself out there because of all the what ifs. What if I mess up? What if something doesn’t come out right? What if something comes up with the kids and I have to cancel? What if people hate my food? I let my fears hold me back for a very long time. And all of my fears have come to to pass because that’s life. I’ve had to cancel, push peoples time back, I’ve had to rearrange and readjust. I’ve had food I’ve cooked a hundred times suddenly come out weird and I’ve had to chuck it and start all over. But you guys have given me grace and understanding and I could never be more thankful for every single person who has given my business a chance. Every single shout out means the world to me.

I know it’s a small home based business but as a stay at home mom, it’s something that’s mine. It’s something that’s just for me. It’s a creative outlet, a sense of pride for me, a way to connect with people through food, and a way to push myself to come out of my shell. So thank you thank you thank you for allowing me to do what I love. 🖤

Hello everyone!

Tuesday I will be having plates for sale. This is one of my favorite meals hands down and usually one reserved for holidays. The plates will be Pernil, Arroz con gandules, and homemade patacones. I’ve attached a photo below of each item but these are not my photos, just examples so you can have a visual of what they’ll all entail.

Pernil is slow roasted marinated pork. Garlic, sofrito, and a blend of spices come together to make a very flavorful pork.

Arroz con gandules is a seasoned rice with pigeon peas. They are not like green peas so not to worry for those of you who don’t like peas. I personally don’t like peas but love gandules.

Patacones (sometimes know as tostones) are fried plantains. These are not the sweet fried plantains. They are a crunchy salty treat and will be served with the most popular side of dipping sauce known as mayoketchup, which is exactly what it sounds like. Mayo and ketchup 😅

Plates will be available Tuesday May 2nd.
Each plate will be $14.

Hello everyone! Long time no see 😅 A stomach bug ran through our house and knocked me out for a couple days and then knocked my kids out right after one by one.

We are all healed up thankfully. I had an order request for quesabirria empanadas for Wednesday, and since I make a big batch, I figured I’d make some extra empanadas and offer them to you guys.

I’ll have 6 dozen quesabirria empanadas available Wednesday, first come first serve.

Please comment below how many dozen you’d like and what time works for you.

I may be opening up orders for beef empanadas for Friday. More info on that in the coming days. 🖤

Also! I finally got a stamp for my famous brown baggies 😅 I usually try to write names or ’thank you’ on the bags but I wanted some form of marketing that wasn’t going to be immediately disposed of like stickers. I just needed a little ✨pizzazz✨

Hello everyone! It’s been a while. I haven’t posted much as I’ve been doing catering orders.

I’ve stated before that I am a one woman show. My youngest is 5 months. I was working while I was pregnant and started working shortly after he was born. He has been the chillest baby, until recently 😅 The older he gets, the shorter his naps get. I’m lucky if he naps for 30 minutes and blessed by the gods if I can get him down for an hour. 💀

I’ve been trying to figure out a way to juggle both, but for now the easiest thing for me to do is cut back on selling food until I can work my way back up. I usually do 2 days for everyone on here and then a day designated to my husbands co-workers.

Moving forward I’ll post my schedule 2-3 days prior and close them the afternoon before so I can prep properly. I make everything the same day so I’m up early prepping and don’t finish until my last order is picked up. I have contemplated ways to make the process easier on myself but I really do not want to sacrifice quality.

I will still be available for catering orders! I truly enjoy being apart of your events. It means the world to me! I ask that catering orders be planned at minimum a week in advance.

Most importantly, if you are ever craving some empanadas, please don’t hesitate to message me asking me to make some for you for! I can’t accomdate same day orders but if you say “hey! Can you make some for me for this day?” It’s much easier for me to accommodate you on a random day. The only thing I cannot do without a bigger notice is quesabirria as the meat cooks for hours and I don’t keep big hunks of meat on hand. 😅 I frequently have people messaging me asking for empanadas on certain days/times because the days I release are not always accessible to everyone. So feel free to message me and ask! 🖤
