🤩 EXCITING NEWS!!!

🪴Wednesday is 🥕Garden Day🥕! Arkansas Citizen’s Climate League volunteers are joining with students and staff from Future School to reinvigorate a northside community garden.

🪴The garden was established by Antioch for Youth & Family prior to the pandemic and is ripe for regeneration and the healthy, sweet rewards of locally grown food and community camaraderie.

🪴They look forward to cooperating on planning, securing resources, building skills and soil, and getting plants in the ground this season and in seasons to come.

🪴On April 7th Climate League volunteers, led by Outreach Leader Herbert McGill, will be knocking on doors in the McGill Center neighborhood to chat with folks about the community garden.

🪴 On April 15th the Climate League and McGill Center will co-host a community garden dinner for local residents and supporters. This light-hearted gathering will encourage conversation and build excitement about the garden and introduce more residents to our neighborhood Climate League Resource Center, where families can get information and help filling out applications for utility bill assistance and home weatherization programs. More details to come.

We are so thrilled and thankful for the support of the Arkansas Citizens Climate League.

Through a grant with RVR Food Bank Antioch was able to deliver apples and potatoes to our community seniors who are not able to commute easily. Thank you to Mrs. Kerri for her help.

🤩 THE COMMUNITY GARDEN IS READY FOR PLANTING!!

🪴Future School 10th graders have been working tirelessly to get this garden ready to grow FOOD!! We are so proud of their efforts — look at that field!

🪴The garden was established by Antioch for Youth & Family prior to the pandemic and we are thrilled to be restoring it to a thriving space.
