Long before it became StoneHouse at Chaffee Crossing, these stone walls stood as part of a community shaped by sacrifice, service, and history. Swipe for a trip down memory lane
Built in 1937 as the Maness Schoolhouse, this building became one of the only structures left standing after Fort Chaffee was established during World War II. Soldiers walked these grounds. Military history was written here. Even the stone porch still standing today was built by German POWs in 1943.
This Memorial Day, we pause to remember the men and women who gave everything in service to our country, and honor the generations connected to the history of Chaffee Crossing.
Today, the conversations around these tables may look different, but the history within these walls remains.
From all of us at StoneHouse, thank you to those who served, and especially to those who never made it home. 🇺🇸
