Well, folksβ¦ apparently our billboard along Highway 2 has decided to start its retirement early. π
After years of faithfully pointing travelers in our direction, battling Minnesota winters, thunderstorms, and whatever else Mother Nature could throw at her, half of the old girl has officially given up and hit the ground.
She's a little rough around the edges, missing a few pieces, and clearly not winning any beauty contests.
Half of her is still standing proud. The other half is lying in the weeds contemplating its life choices.
And before the local Facebook engineering department starts recommending ladders, cordless drills, duct tape, and a couple of ambitious guys with a case of beer⦠let's just say the billboard lives on someone else's private property.
Trust us, we've noticed. It's a little hard to miss half a billboard taking a dirt nap. π
But hey, WE'RE STILL HERE! ππ»
So if you're traveling Highway 2 and happen to spot what looks like the aftermath of a billboard losing a fight with Mother Nature⦠yep, that's ours.
Consider it an unofficial Northwoods roadside attraction.
The sign may be going down, but we're not! π
Stop on in. We're a hell of a lot better looking than our billboard.
