🥪 The Best Sandwich in the County contest is underway.

Today’s sandwich photo comes from Iron Furnace Coffee in Franklin, one of the 17 restaurants on this year’s card. Their entry is a Greek Chicken Sandwich.

Entry cards are available at the Venango Museum front desk for $10. Each card gets you 50% off one contest sandwich at each participating restaurant, one time per restaurant.

The contest runs through August 31, so there’s plenty of time to make a few stops over the summer.

It’s a good excuse to visit a favorite restaurant, try somewhere new, and support local restaurants while helping the museum.

We are always happy to contribute to the community!

Yesterday, we organized a volunteer group to help teach a lesson in how local economies work to the 3rd grade students of Central Elementary.

A huge thank you to Hannah Gamble from Iron Furnace Coffee, Nick Hess from The Printer's Cabinet & Curiosities, and Steve Cutchall from Innovation Institute for Tomorrow, Inc. for leading the sessions.

And thank you to Junior Achievement of Western PA for partnering with us for the resources to help these kids learn.

We’ve loved teaming up with the Oil Region Library Association to create something that supports our community in more ways than one ❤️
Every latte poured helps us keep supporting the people around us — from buying more maple syrup from Triple J Farms to continuing to bring in plenty of fresh milk from Mitch Hill Dairy. We love creating drinks that connect our community, and we’re grateful for everyone who’s stopped in to support it along the way 📚🥛🍁

We want to shout out 2 Franklin businesses that recently donated proceeds from their business to Oil Region Libraries!

Iron Furnace Coffee created a special library drink called the Page Turner Latte. Iron Furnace donated a portion of the proceeds from each drink purchase to local libraries. ❤☕

Well, it finally happened. Our espresso machine is having a major issue (we are planning to upgrade soon!!), and we have several staff members out sick. We are planning to be back in full operation by Saturday morning for the kick off of may mart!
